As a Mobile Plant Fitter, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing faults, servicing and repairing construction plant equipment at customer sites.
- Carrying out planned maintenance and inspections to manufacturer standards.

- Using electronic diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Completing job sheets, service reports and timesheets accurately using a tablet or mobile device.

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a prominent Manufacturing company located in Selby.
This role offers a salary of £44.015 per annum working a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm including a 1 hour paid lunch break.In addition to competitive pay, you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a 10% pension contribution, life assurance, private medical insurance, and 25 days annual leave which increases with tenure plus BH.As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

Perform routine/preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical components of the plant safely and efficiently.
Respond promptly to plant breakdowns as needed.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance in line with the plant's preventative maintenance system.
Ensure all work meets high-quality standards.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including permit-to-work protocols.
Assist in preparing and implementing RAMS required for each task.
Follow health and safety requirements outlined in training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
Report any health and safety issues, accidents, or near misses to the line manager.
Participate in necessary training to maintain personal qualifications and competence.

The MET Technician / Strip Fitter role (Welwyn Garden City)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated MET Technician to join a busy, professional accident repair centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a high-performing team.
You will play a key role in the repair process, carrying out vehicle strip, fit, and mechanical repairs while ensuring every vehicle is returned to pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the removal and refitting of vehicle components to support high-quality body repairs
- Dismantle and rebuild vehicles efficiently, following repair methods and manufacturer guidelines
- Accurately identify and report any additional damage not included within the original estimate
- Perform mechanical repairs including suspension work, four-wheel alignment, and diagnostic procedures
- Complete GEO and ADAS-related tasks where required

- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process
Requirements:

- ATA or NVQ qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle training would be beneficial
- ADAS experience or accreditation would be highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering first-class repairs
- Strong team player with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced workshop environment
