Crisis Management
Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals who are in immediate mental health distress, offering reassurance, guidance, and appropriate next steps.
De-escalate urgent mental health situations via telephone to prevent escalation and promote safety.
Referral & Signposting
Identify the most suitable service or intervention required (e.g., emergency services, local community teams, crisis teams, or mental health services).
Make timely and appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals, services, or agencies as necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
Risk Management
Assess and manage clinical risk, ensuring that any concerns around safety or safeguarding are escalated in accordance with local policies and procedures.
Document all risk assessments and actions taken clearly and accurately, adhering to organisational guidelines and professional standards.
Clinical Documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all telephone assessments, interventions, and referrals, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Collaboration
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, community mental health nurses) to ensure that patients are directed to the appropriate services.
Provide a clear handover of care for patients requiring further face-to-face assessment or treatment.
Clinical Supervision and Development
Participate in regular clinical supervision to ensure that best practice is followed and to support ongoing professional development.
Engage in continuous professional development activities and training to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Occupational Therapist (OT), Social Worker, or other relevant mental health qualification.
Experience in mental health settings, including crisis intervention, telephone triage, or direct clinical practice.
Understanding of mental health legislation (e.g., the Mental Health Act, safeguarding procedures).
Knowledge and experience of risk assessment and management in a mental health context.
Clear communication skills and the ability to provide effective telephone-based support in a calm and empathetic manner.
Desirable Skills

As a Recovery Nurse your key responsibilities include:
Monitoring patients recovering from anaesthesia, ensuring their vital signs stabilize, and managing any immediate post-operative complications
Assessing and managing patients' pain levels post-surgery through medication administration, non-pharmacological interventions, and collaboration with anaesthetists and surgeons
Conducting thorough assessments of patients post-surgery to identify any signs of complications, adverse reactions to anaesthesia, or other concerns
Monitoring patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation levels, to detect any changes indicating distress or deterioration
Monitoring and managing patients' fluid balance to ensure proper hydration and prevent complications such as dehydration or fluid overload
Assessing surgical incisions for signs of infection or other complications, ensuring proper wound healing, and providing appropriate wound care as needed
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience in perioperative or critical care nursing
Experience in post-anaesthesia care specifically is highly beneficial
Proficiency in basic life supports (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) is essential
Able to quickly assess patients' conditions, identify potential complications
Ability to closely monitor patients' vital signs and detect subtle changes in their condition is crucial for early intervention and prevention of complications
Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals is essential
Demonstrate empathy and compassion when caring for patients who may be disoriented, in pain, or experiencing anxiety following surgery

As A Trainee Mechanical Engineer You Will Need To Have:
* Any hands on mechanical / electromechanical engineering skills - fitting / assembly - ANY CONSIDERED
* Desire and attitude towards learning and development
* Full driving licence
* Happy to travel around the Dartford area and willing to travel a local patch

Based in Huddersfield, just 10 minutes from the M62, the successful cnc miller will easily be able to commute from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
For this CNC Miller position we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:
Formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline (HNC, HND, BTEC/NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3, Apprenticeship etc.)
Stable work history with experience working in a heavy machining / engineering environment
Programming skills (editing OR creating from scratch) - all controls will be considers as full training will be provided
Previous experience of CNC and manual machining
Previous experience of operating horizontal borers, machining centres, CNC Milling machines; working to high standards of dimensional accuracy
Previous experience of using Heidenhain machine controls
Previous experience of working in a close tolerance environment
The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
The ability to use internal and external micrometers
In return, the CNC MILLER will receive:
Base Salary: £36080 - £45100 on three shifts, plus overtime.
Holiday Allowance: 33 Days
