GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures. Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s). Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards. Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications. Perform routine inspections per quality standards. Understand production instructions. Maintain accurate paperwork. Package, label, and store products. Cross-train on other production functions as business need dictates. Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality. Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues. Participate in the continuous improvement process. If appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
No formal educational requirement.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior experience or training required.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to function effectively in a team setting. Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, and dependability.

Follows batch work instructions in order to manufacture quality products. Prepares disperser and letdown tank for production, including any necessary equipment clean up. Monitors and controls high-speed disperser, mixer, pumps, flow meters and other instruments in order to make sure that a batch is produced according to work instructions. Adjust a batch, under QC guidance, until it is approved. Get batch tickets from floor supervisor and discuss with floor supervisor the best order.
Determine raw materials needed. Housekeeping - Clean up work area to 5S standards, takes out trash, participate in cycle count and inventory program. The Process Engineer will manage and commercialize new processes developed by the Research and Development department into full scale production within the Tremco Corsicana plant.

The Process Engineer will manage and commercialize new processes developed by the Research and Development department into full scale production within the Tremco Corsicana plant.
The Process Engineer will determine which equipment in the plant is most suited to make new products and what modifications may be necessary for such production to successfully occur. Over the next two years, the Tremco Corsicana facility will design, construct, and commission a new reactor.
This new major plant expansion will introduce new production capabilities to the Corsicana facility and is expected to serve as a model project for further plant modernization efforts.
The employee filling this role will lead this expansion project all the way through the commissioning and scaleup phases. In addition to supporting new products and plant expansions, this individual will also manage and optimize existing processes throughout the plant with the goals of maximizing yield and minimizing batch cycle times. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Production Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Production Operator levels (I, II, & III).
