Job Description:
Our client, a global asset manager, is recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join their team in Edinburgh.
This role focuses on advising on complex technology, AI deployment and digital infrastructure matters, alongside contentious and regulatory issues arising from strategic commercial arrangements.
Skills/Experience:
Circa 2-4 years' post-qualification experience.
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial and technology agreements.
Experience within financial services, asset management or investment platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice on a broad range of commercial and contractual matters.
Draft, review and negotiate commercial, technology, outsourcing and other complex agreements.
Identify, assess and mitigate legal, regulatory and commercial risks across business activities.
Advise on contractual interpretation, performance issues and dispute avoidance or resolution strategies.
Support strategic transformation programmes, technology initiatives and operational change projects.
Advise on data protection, AI, intellectual property and brand matters, or demonstrate the appetite to develop expertise in these areas.
Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders, delivering pragmatic legal solutions that enable commercial objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve legal service delivery through process optimisation, technology and innovation.
Support the responsible adoption of legal technology and AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency, insight and knowledge management.

Lead the end-to-end supplier onboarding and approval process, ensuring suppliers meet defined quality, capability, financial, security and compliance requirements before inclusion on the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
Conduct supplier capability, capacity and due-diligence assessments, including audits and documentation reviews, providing evidence-based recommendations on supplier readiness and suitability.
Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives, managing performance improvement plans to enhance quality, operational controls, capacity planning and delivery performance.
Support programmes, bids and manufacturing outsourcing activities through early supplier engagement, readiness assessments and risk mitigation to ensure successful project delivery.
Identify, assess and manage supplier risks relating to capacity, financial stability, compliance and single-source dependencies, contributing to supply chain resilience and contingency planning.
Develop and strengthen the supply base by identifying capability gaps, sourcing or developing new suppliers, and supporting long-term strategic supplier partnerships aligned to business growth objectives.
Maintain supplier governance, reporting and records while collaborating with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Programme teams as the subject matter expert for supplier capability, readiness and supply chain maturity.

We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Compliance & Risk to join our client, a leading investment management firm in Dublin.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for maintaining robust compliance and risk frameworks across regulated fund management activities, including UCITS, AIFs, and segregated mandates.
This will be hired on an 18-month fixed term contract basis, and the successful candidate will be subject to regulatory approval.
Skills/Experience:
Significant senior experience in Compliance, Risk, or Regulatory roles within asset management, fund management, or regulated financial services.
Strong knowledge of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks, including UCITS, AIFMD, and Central Bank of Ireland requirements.
Experience engaging with regulators, Boards, senior stakeholders, and third-party service providers.
Proven ability to provide pragmatic regulatory advice and independent oversight.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Experience operating in, or supporting, a regulated senior function (e.g.
PCF, SMF, CF or equivalent) is highly desirable.
