GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the identification, penetration and development of those markets within a designated geographic region to produce the maximum volume of profitable business over the longest period of time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet or exceed regional sales market objectives established by Divisional Sales Director
In partnership with the Divisional Sales Director, develop an annual regional strategic business plan designed to achieve maximum market penetration and to attain both short- and long-range goals for profitable sales growth
Constantly evaluate assigned region to ensure maximum present and future results and adapt your approach to the market.
Consider environmental factors such as business conditions, competitive practices, etc.
Review your area continuously to adjust for business conditions and to increase the number of potential customers that can utilize our products.
Make recommendations related to the establishment or discontinuation of distributors, dealers, architects, general contractors, and/or direct accounts
Build a basic list of accounts to develop, along with profiles of all active and potential accounts
In conjunction with Divisional Sales Director, on a yearly basis, establish and focus actively on target accounts.
Ensure contact with customers of maximum potential in your region
Conduct development days as required based on individual Sales Rep experience level.
Manage the business relationship with large (important) customers within your region
Administrative requirements include, but are not limited to:
Organize records, customer information, competitive files, project files, etc.
Develop and maintain up to date mailing lists
Using provided form, submit a monthly chart identifying both positive and negative items which will impact achievement of quarterly objectives.
Using provided form, submit a quarterly report to Divisional Sales Director summarizing region's activity as it relates to sales and market objectives
Maintain and update account information in CRM daily
Ensure and encourage architectural and consultant selling to maximize potential for specification development in your region
Resolve complaints as required by coordinating efforts between Sales, Technical, and Warranty Services
Ensure and encourage participation in field trial application in your region
Consistently seek out opportunities for personal growth and is eager to impart knowledge to others.
Applies company policies and adheres to processes to ensure compliance and organizational best practices
Maintain day to day management of open territories until position is filled and coordinate major Job Control activity .
Ensure and encourage continued penetration of the market both Commercial and Residential
Manage your area in accordance with published company policies.
Where exceptions are necessary, consult with the Divisional Sales Director before making decision
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity in hiring and promotion decisions.

Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education and experience: a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline or high school diploma and 5 years' experience in a related area, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience as described. Minimum of 10 years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrated proficiency with administrative functions. Extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the thermoset polymer industry is a strongly considered asset. Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of office and facilities coordination and basic leadership and management knowledge. Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to serve as a confidential knowledgeable resource to the organization's management team that provides leadership and direction. Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines. Essential Functions:

Benefits and Compensation:
The pay range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000.
Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance, internal equity, among other qualifying criteria permitted by law.
