Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to work for our prestigious client based in Saltley, Birmingham.Duties will include:
Develop and manage transport schedules and routes to optimize efficiency, cost, and timeUse transport planning software to determine the most efficient routesAdjust routes and plans based on traffic, weather, or other unforeseen conditionsAnalyze transport data, including costs, efficiency, fuel usage, and environmental impactProvide regular reports on transport performance, including KPIs like on-time delivery, cost per trip, and fuel efficiencyCollaborate with drivers, warehouse teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transportation operationsLiaise with local authorities or regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with transportation laws and safety regulations
Ideal Candidate:
Experience within a Transport Planner role for at least 2 years
Key Skills:
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysisGood knowledge of traffic management, vehicle routing, and transportation regulationsProficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstancesStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesUnderstanding of environmental impact and sustainable transport practices.
