GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The 3rd Shift Production Supervisor effectively plans and coordinates all daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
This role is responsible for meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly production requirements, ensuring quality, meeting on-time delivery schedules, and other customer needs while maintaining a safe environment for all employees.
The hours are 10:30 p.m.
to 7:30 a.m., Sunday- Thursday.

Follow the progress of production, anticipate or investigate major causes of delays, and ensure that corrective action is taken.

Hold subordinate team members accountable through open feedback, honest counseling, and fair disciplinary practices.
Supervise safety standards, employee relations, conflict resolution, transparent communication, employee evaluation, scheduling, and training.
Monitor production schedules and personnel scheduling.
Optimize resources to meet production targets.
Analyze on-floor performance using production data.
Identify potential issues before they create downtime or become a problem.
Monitor daily production performance in relation to established KPIs and communicate expectations to the team.
Collaborate with internal departments to meet customer expectations and resolve issues.
Supervises the routine preventive maintenance plan for all equipment is completed timely and correctly.
Develop efficient manufacturing processes and assist with documenting field installation criteria and standards.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture that emphasizes safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Maintain / Implement Safety policies.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
A bachelor's degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
2+ years of related manufacturing (floor) experience required.
Experience with building product manufacturing (preferred), or similar manufacturing experience.
2+ years' experience in inventory control and distribution operations.
Experience leading and supervising an hourly team.
Proven ability to master various related software products and regular use of Microsoft Office tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Green or Black Belt preferred.
OSHA 10-hour training preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Solid communication skills (verbal, written) required.
Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
Must lead by example.
Ability to energize and develop effective teams.

Position Summary
The Roofing Operator can work in our Felt Department or in our Roofing Department at our Cleveland, Ohio Plant.
To start, this is a temporary position which can lead to a regular position after successfully completing a probationary period.
They start-up, troubleshoot, and operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and routinely while achieving or exceeding standard levels of production, according to specifications.
This position can turn into a regular union position if the employee completes the probationary period, successfully.
During the probationary period, this position will be on 1st Shift.
If the employee successfully completes the probationary period and becomes a regular employee, the position will most likely change to 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on Plant needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs work in a safe manner, according to safety rules and guidelines
Communicates with Team Lead and/or Supervisor during shift-changes and throughout shift
Understands and operates the HMI at the various stations along the line, to keep the line operating safely and efficiently
Monitors weight, speed, and other metrics along the line
Operates forklift to move raw materials, load carrier and move finished product
Makes raw material batches in the appropriate mixer(s), according to specifications
Performs quality control tests on the batches, per established guidelines
Ensures proper labels are being used on the taping machine
Fills appropriate-sized pails, drums or totes, labels filled-items and places pails/drums on pallet
Follows Tremco's Escalation Policy for any safety or quality concerns
Performs daily housekeeping/cleaning of immediate area and other surrounding areas, as needed
During line down-time, performs housekeeping duties in immediate area, other areas of the plant or assist in other departments

You should have around five years experience with a firm of civil / structural consulting engineers if you are Chartered or if you are still working towards becoming chartered then you will need around eight years or more experience.
You are likely to either be working towards becoming chartered or have already achieved chartered status e.g.
CEng, MICE, MIStructE etc.
You will need good broad based structural engineering design experiene to be able to do design and assessment of concrete, masonry, steel and also timber structures.
You should have used structural engineering software e.g.
Tekla Structural Designer or similar.
Good experience in the use of Excel and TEDDS and experience of detailing packages e.g.
AutoCAD & Revit.
You also need to have experience of doing structural condition surveys and report writing.
You must have worked in the UK for another firm of consulting engineers and have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.
