Our Manufacturing client is looking for SMT Operator to join their fast-growing business to support within the pick and place department.
As an SMT Operator you will: be assembling Printed Circuit Board (PCBA) using a variety of tools & equipment including screen printers, pick & place machines, and reflow ovens.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS OF SMT OPERATOR
- Good working knowledge of IPC-A-610 & IPC J-STD-001 preferred.
- Awareness & understanding of ESD Controls.
- Reading & understanding complex drawings and instructions.
- Awareness & understanding of AS9100/ISO9001.
DUTIES OF SMT OPERATOR
- To build PCBAs using SMT equipment IAW work instructions & procedures provided
- Check work completed for compliance before passing to the next stage
- Ensure job history is accurately maintained/reported on all route cards the employee works on
- Proactively advise management of any issues that may affect delivery & or quality.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to.
FRAMEWORK
SMT operators are an essential part of the production team.
Day-to-day work priorities will be given by the Production Manager & SMT Team Leader.
KEY PERSONAL SKILLS
- Sound knowledge of SMT assembly equipment & assembly processes
- Excellent communicator, written, IT, and verbal.
- PC/IT literate, using PCs and tablets as required
- Motivated
- Good time management skills.
- Calm and collected with the ability to work under pressure.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30-16:30 and Friday 7:30 to 12:30.

Work closely with the National Sales Manager - Retail Program & Senior Program Manager - Retail Program on metrics and data they will need beyond SIOP information. Forecasting, demand planning end-to-end for retail: Work with the Tremco CPG/Consumer Group Retail Program team members to track program/product placements, review POS to develop a store level forecast. Aggregate store level forecast/demand plan and inventory requirements at the Consumer Group level to help develop a Tremco CPG production forecast. Forecasting demand planning will include Tremco CPG manufactured products, intercompany products, and purchase for resale products. Inventory management, purchase orders: Develop inventory targets at the Consumer Group DC and Tremco CPG level to ensure retail fill rate requirements and working capital targets are met. Direct Consumer Group on purchase orders requirements which would include, products, quantities, timing, etc....
to ensure inventory requirements are met. Inventory management, purchase order process will include Tremco CPG manufactured products, intercompany products, and purchase for resale products. Collaborate with internal Operations and Supply Chain master scheduling on the full retail picture.
Including potential new and existing business into the capacity process. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree in business and/or supply chain related field or equivalent education/experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a demand planning and/or supply chain role supporting retail programs as well as; At least 2 years' experience in retail POS analytics preferred Experience working with sales and production teams preferred

Avoiding last minute material requests and orders (2 weeks minimum, 3 weeks ahead

Keeping Operations Manager copied on all external project correspondence.

Responsible for worksorder sign off sheet for manifest, quality and final check off before
wrapping/delivery to ensure all components of works order are on hand for fitters to avoid
