GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Chemical Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring safety, maintaining product quality, and enhancing process efficiency in a chemical production environment.
Additionally, this role emphasizes promoting a LEAN culture and requires active involvement in on-floor operations as well as spearheading significant projects related to process equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead in safety management, resolving complex issues in collaboration with shift supervisors.
Conduct and oversee scheduled Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
Monitor and address potential safety concerns proactively.
Utilize DAKOTA software for advanced compliance, incident reporting, and safety management.
Develop and implement \"standard work\" practices to enhance LEAN culture.
Manage activities on Engineering Tier and accountability boards, and conduct daily GEMBA Walks for education and communication.
Focus on productivity improvement by eliminating non-value-added activities using engineering principles.
Maximize equipment efficiency for optimal product quality, and train operators on quality specifications.
Participate actively as a member of the facility's Quality Improvement Council (QIC), focusing on root cause analysis.
Successfully manage significant process projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Mentor less experienced peers, providing guidance and expertise.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: 4-year degree in engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 4+ years of experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Reach/High Lift Operator you will be expected to receive, store, and distribute material, equipment, and products within the establishment by performing the following on a daily basis: Read orders to determine what products are to be pulled and put on pallets. Receive incoming materials, verifying amount received against packing slip, manifests, invoices or orders and noting any shortages. Prepare product/materials for shipment- supporting the continuous retrieving of material and staging at designated locations along the production line. Record shipment data- including weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for recordkeeping purposes. Support maintenance and organization of warehouse - including cleanliness and housekeeping. Partake in inventory records management- noting stock received and dispersed. Support security of the warehouse and inventory- letting only authorized personnel in warehouse area. Communicate with supervisors on any problems or issues that may arise such as damages, shortages or nonconformance to specifications- escalating further as required to management. Sort and place products and materials on racks, shelves and/or in bins according to product code. Open crates and other containers. Load trucks Perform all duties in accordance with Health and Safety Protocols and company policies.
Qualifications and Previous Experience:
High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 1 year previous experience/certification for sit down forklift, stand up forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack- and ability to demonstrate proficiency on equipment. IT Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages- ability to maintain inventory records electronically. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

The Process Engineer III will manage and commercialize new processes developed by the Research and Development department into full scale production within the Tremco Corsicana plant.
The Process Engineer III will determine which equipment in the plant is most suited to make new products and what modifications may be necessary for such production to successfully occur. Over the next two years, the Tremco Corsicana facility will design, construct, and commission a new reactor.
This new major plant expansion will introduce new production capabilities to the Corsicana facility and is expected to serve as a model project for further plant modernization efforts.
The employee filling this role will lead this expansion project all the way through the commissioning and scaleup phases. In addition to supporting new products and plant expansions, this individual will also manage and optimize existing processes throughout the plant with the goals of maximizing yield and minimizing batch cycle times. We are working with an Global Leading Automotive Manufacturer to recruit upcoming Production Operatives to join an upcoming shift pattern.
As a market leader in their field, they are looking for operatives who will be an asset to their team, be an effective and proactive team member and work towards company expectations and targets.

A salary of circa £36,000
OT Paid at a Premium (1.5x and 2x)
33 days holiday (Pro Rata)
Highly competitive pension match
Hours of work - 4on 4off DAYS ONLY
Location - Normanton/Wakefield (Commutable from Barnsley, Castleford/Knottingley/Doncaster)
Requirements as a Production Operative;
Work on an automated Production line to ensure the manufacture of products and meets established QA Expectations
Monitoring machinery and reporting issues
Make manufacturing adjustments and working to 5s principles
Quality testing of certain batches, reporting any issues that may arise
Working with SCADA and PLC machines in a state of the art facility
Roles and responsibilities of a Production Operative;
The production of high-quality products operating production machinery
