GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Assistant Process Operator in our Chemical plant located in Corsicana.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete work functions within Chemical production operations.
Responsible for the quality blending of finished products and the bulk, drum, and pail packaging of products.
Full understanding of Chemical Hazards specific to area assigned to, including PPE.
General forklift duties.
The core responsibility for blending and packaging of products demands the use of mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, mixing equipment, and automation control systems.
Completion and compliance of all safety initiatives and certification requirements including all near miss and incident reporting.
Accountable for the data entry of production tickets, good receipts, and shipping documentation.
Daily inspection of work area and monthly document reporting.
Ensure that a clean organized work environment is maintained at all times.
Assist with physical inventory counts and processes.
Compliance with all applicable ISO requirements.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred, 2-year Process Technology Degree.

Good Attendance record.
Able to Work 12-hour shift: Dupont Schedule, Day and Graveyard rotation.

The primary result expected from the Quality Control Technician will be to assure product quality by preparing samples, conducting quality control inspection and testing of components, dispersions, and finished goods, determining adjustments for batches that do not conform to requirements, documenting inspections, and insuring calibration of testing equipment.

Perform testing of production batches, incoming raw materials, finished goods, and components to determine conformance to specifications. Judge as "fit for release" production batches, incoming raw materials, finished goods, and components that are in conformance to all specifications and visually acceptable. Determine and communicate batch adjustments for any batches that do not conform to requirements, utilizing batch history, adjustment guidelines, and consultation with the Senior QC Technician, Assistant Supervisor, or QC Manager. Perform validation testing during filling to insure integrity of finished goods, including labeling, packaging, and fill weights. Communicate current status of inspections to Senior Technicians, Assistant Supervisor, or QC Manager.
