Responsibilities:
The summer intern would work under mentorship of a senior scientist / Supervisor to perform collaborative research for development adhesives or repair products with unique and differentiated properties.
The intern will work on Project is focused on moisture cure chemistry sealants. Will be evaluating a few promising raw materials from past studies for other properties.
Requirements
Major: Organic Chemistry Sophomore, Junior, or Senior. General lab skills (weighing materials on benchtop scale, transferring liquids/solids from one container to another, adherence to lab safety rules). Good time management. Data analysis.
Organized. Good communication skills. Likes to work with hands-on testing in a laboratory setting. Attention to details, inquisitive, good notes taker, desire to learn and grow.
Pay
$17 / hour.

Our Client, are specialists in fully supported hard metal roofing, facades, SFS, Rainscreen cladding systems and flat roofing for all types of projects.
The daily duties include:
- Preparing tenders for various types of contractors including tier 1's.
Tenders can exceed several millions in value.
- Undertaking accurate take offs and preparing detailed scope mark-ups from construction drawings using Bluebeam Software.
- Calculating rates including labour, material costs, overheads and profit, preliminary items using excel estimating spreadsheets.
- Offering value engineering solutions.
- Populating client bills of quantities and pricing schedules
- Issuing enquiries and gathering material prices with the assistance of the estimating document controller from a range of manufacturers and suppliers.

Strong communicator with top-notch presentation skills who can develop and provide training to production personnel on matters concerning formulation, materials handling, processing, and quality procedures. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Leadership role in effort to recertify and reclaim Non-Conforming material.
Works in coordination with QC and R&D to isolate, test and recertify Non-Conforming material that can be repackaged and sold. Observing production processes, conducting research, and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality. Continuously challenging the status quo understood as a day-to-day activity in our operating areas. Proactive problem solving based on statistical analysis of corrective actions / assigned by Engineering Director, Plant Manufacturing Manager, QA, EHS projects. Requirements:
