The Job: To supervise/manage site(s) in accordance with Company and Health & Safety policies, under the immediate direction of Project Manager; Manage site team(s) including monitoring timekeeping, reporting absences, supervising and giving feedback on employees' work performance including guiding apprentices as required; Liaising with all site personnel including Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors etc; Meeting deadlines, attending site meetings when requested/required
Responsibilities:
Keeping to program and within hours and materials budgets
Recording and implementing all variations
Monitoring progress on site, including timekeeping - arrival, departure and break times
Integrating and supervising the work of any subcontractors
Responsibility for all on-site staff
Maintaining the Company interests at all times
Ensuring staff are satisfied and motivated
Ensuring there are sufficient materials on site to prevent any downtime and allow each task to be completed
Ensuring the right personnel are available to do the work when they are needed
Managing materials and plant in accordance with the Purchasing/Warehouse policy
Completing Pipework Quality Installation Checklist as the project progresses, submitting signed and completed copy to Project Manager at end of project
Giving feedback to team members when required - positive and constructive; giving praise where necessary for work well done and advice when improvement in performance is required.
Notifying Project Manager and/or Human Resources of any areas of concern with team members performance
Adhering to all Company policies, procedures, requests from Management etc.
Completing and submitting all paperwork requested at all times
Comply with Walsh Group QEHS Management System requirements i.e.
perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing forms/records as required
Understand and apply with our QEHS policies statement in all aspects of your work

Role Overview
Service Care Solutions is recruiting a Finance Officer on behalf of the Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police Alliance.
This role is based at Middlemoor HQ, with responsibilities across the Alliance Finance Department.
The Finance Officer will manage central purchasing, oversee exchequer functions, and provide financial support, including handling seized funds and assisting with major operations.
This position is key in ensuring value for money across financial activities, adhering to police financial policies, and delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement: Handle purchase requests, process invoices, manage supplier relationships, and oversee stock and orders.
Accounts Management: Raise sales invoices, track outstanding payments, produce debtor reports, and arrange write-offs if needed.
Cash Handling: Conduct cash collections and deposits, ensuring compliance with audit and financial regulations.
Financial Administration: Process urgent payments, international transfers, and assist with treasury management.
Respond to FOI requests and support audits.
Supplier & Customer Relations: Manage a supplier database, provide purchasing advice, and ensure transactions are compliant and transparent.
Essential Criteria
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proven accuracy in financial administration

Proficiency with financial software, including spreadsheets and word processing

Additional Information

JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary result expected from the Buyer will be to Oversee the procurement cycle, from selecting and setting up supplier accounts to ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies.
It entails managing purchase orders, reconciling transactions and maintaining accurate inventory and vendor information to support the company's operational needs.
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Oversees the procurement process for all production-related materials and supplies. Conducts research to identify new suppliers and outsourcing opportunities to meet facility requirements. Qualifies potential suppliers and sets up vendor accounts, ensuring a robust supply chain. Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise. Examine, select, order, and purchase at the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors. Generates purchase orders utilizing existing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Reconciles delivery documentation with received goods, maintaining stringent record-keeping.
Rectifies any issues related to shipments or billing with suppliers, maintaining positive relationships. Conducts administrative tasks, including drafting correspondence and compiling reports. Keeps the Supply Chain Manager and Plant Director informed of market trends affecting process, consumption, and other related purchasing factors. Validates receipt of proper credit for all vendor material returns and addresses discrepancies. Monitors ongoing orders and takes action to expedite as needed to guarantee on-time delivery.
Keeps up-to date and detailed vendor information, including contracts, contacts, and pricing.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline preferred 5-10 years' experience in the procurement of Chemicals required - preferably Pigments, Resins and Solvents SAP & Microsoft (specifically Excel) knowledge preferred. Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment and act as a strong team player Experience with project management, expediting and optimizing inventory levels Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills This position requires an individual who is self-directed and detail-oriented with an inquisitive nature and the desire to solve problems A strong work ethic with a positive \"can-do\" attitude and one who takes pride in the quality of their work Experience managing multiple tasks at one time along with understanding overall direction and goals.
