We are seeking an R&D Scientist and Technical Leader, a critical role within our R&D organization.

Technology Knowledge:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Production Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Production Operator levels (I, II, & III).

The Quality Control Manager is accountable for all aspects of operating the Quality Department which includes but is not limited to managing people, processes and equipment to ensure that all quality standards are maintained and improved.
The QC Lab is a 24/7 operation.
The QC Manager oversees the various testing and monitoring of raw materials, manufactured products and product packaging and leads Quality related continuous improvement efforts.
The QC Manager is also accountable for set up, amend and or maintain all quality standards, SOP's and audits as well as leads the CI process for the facility.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work environment ensuring that all plant policies and practices are adhered to and the Quality Control team works injury free.
Maintain an acceptable level of housekeeping in all areas of responsibility. Lead the selection, training, coordination and assignment of associates to maximize the effectiveness of personnel in providing quality support services to the facility. Maintain procedures and processes that ensure all incoming materials (packaging and raw materials) meet specifications.
Maintain and communicate Quality Metrics that drive continuous improvement of the plant processes. Maintain a cost reduction process aimed at lowering manufacturing cost via quality related improvements. Evaluate non-compliance material and issue procedures to recycle/rework/dispose of; including re-work work -off rates for rejected product. Maintain M.S.D.S.'s, H.M.I.S., manufacturing procedures and raw material data files.
Serve as the technical interface with the Corporate Technical Center to address manufacturing procedures, test procedures, specifications, production processes, data, customer complaints, and other issues as requested. Serve on the Plant Leadership Team.
Maintain a strong working relationship with all direct reports, internal (other departments / Corporate) and external customers (suppliers) to minimize issues, collectively address and solve problems, and identify and realize opportunities for improvement.
Other Duties:
Actively participates on various teams to improve plant processes in areas other than Quality. Provides supervisory support to the production areas as needed.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Plant Manager. The Quality Control Work Group Leader and Quality Technicians report to the QC Manager.
Other DAP Associates on special assignment and/or temporaries may report to the QC Manager.

Key Responsibilities
As a Workshop Forklift Engineer, your duties will include:
Workshop Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on forklift trucks and material handling equipment within the workshop.
FLT Preparation: Prepare forklift trucks to the required standards for STR rental fleet and used equipment sales.
Diagnostics & Fault Finding: Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficiently.
Parts Management: Order required spare parts and liaise with management for authorisation when required.
Documentation & Systems: Accurately complete service reports and maintain records using internal systems such as K1SS.
Engineering Standards: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company engineering standards and safe working practices.
Stock & Equipment Control: Maintain accurate stock movement records and ensure company tools and equipment are kept in good working condition.
Team Collaboration: Liaise with workshop management and colleagues to ensure work schedules are completed on time and to the required standards.
Workshop Support: Assist with any additional duties required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the workshop.
Health & Safety
Health and safety is a key priority within the workshop.
As a Workshop Forklift Engineer, you will:
Follow all company Health & Safety, Environmental, and site policies at all times
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Take responsibility for your own safety and that of colleagues and visitors on site

What Were Looking For
To be successful in this Workshop Forklift Engineer position, candidates should have:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical, electrical, or engineering discipline
Experience working as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Vehicle Technician, or Mechanical Engineer
Strong mechanical knowledge including hydraulics, electrics, and fault finding
Experience servicing or repairing forklift trucks or similar material handling equipment
The ability to work independently and as part of a team

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Direct Labor responsibility for mixing and packaging in-process and finished good inventory.
Essential Functions:
Stage and prepare all raw materials associated with production batches.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in batch making and packaging areas, with active engagement in positive safety behavior.
Communicates (gives a heads up) low levels of raw material to supervisory staff.
Develops good working knowledge of all batch making and packaging processes.
Maintains good working relationship with Quality Control
Must be capable of logical structuring of batch making process, particularly optimizing the switchover sequence/needs of production.

Must be capable of wearing Company standard respirators as qualified by fit test performed by an authorized agency.
Must be capable of lifting between 25-70 lbs.
This position requires consistent wearing of safety glasses, gloves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes; with additional specific PPE depending on the chemicals or materials handled, which could include respirators, hearing protection, or specialized gloves for hazardous substances.

Ability to coordinate with the work of others and solve problems in a team environment. Active participation in our Continuous Improvement Process. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Willingness to work overtime as required.

Exposure to quality programs. Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience. Experience with a continuous process discipline such as Six Sigma/Lean/TQM manufacturing environment.
