Are you an experienced Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager / Field Sales Executive with a proven track record of selling into the Automotive Aftermarket?
Do you have experience working with Independent Motor Factors, Major Factor Groups, Automotive Distributors or OEM customers?
Our client is a successful international distributor of high-quality automotive parts with ambitious growth plans for the UK Automotive Aftermarket.
They are now looking to recruit a commercially driven Business Development Manager to develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships and grow their UK market share.
The Role
Working remotely and covering the UK, you'll be responsible for driving new business growth whilst developing existing customer relationships across Independent Motor Factors, Major Factor Networks, Automotive Distributors and OEM customers.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a proven Business Development Manager or field-based sales professional with experience selling automotive parts, components or aftermarket products.
You'll have a strong track record of winning new business, growing existing accounts and developing lasting relationships with Motor Factors, Distributors, OEMs and key trade customers.
In this role you will:
Generate new business opportunities across the UK Automotive Aftermarket.
Develop and grow relationships with Motor Factors, Major Factor Groups, Distributors, OEMs and key trade customers.
Increase sales within existing accounts whilst securing new customers.
Expand and strengthen UK distribution networks.
Deliver product presentations and technical sales support where required.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and customer events.
Manage your sales pipeline and CRM effectively.
Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation and commercial awareness.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
B.S.
in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Controls, or similar Engineering Degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
Must have experience in both practical Process Engineering and Project Management.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in workflow processes, value stream efficiency, and systems thinking.
Understanding process variance and the resultant effects on Quality.
Knowledge of applied statistics.
Ability to perform problem analysis utilizing problem-solving methodology.
Must be knowledgeable in the Project Management software being used.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
