JOB DESCRIPTION
The EH&S Specialist job functions include but not limited to implementation and maintenance of environment, health, and safety programs at DAP's Dallas Facility (75%) and DAP's Garland DC (25%).
Key responsibilities include, identifying, developing and implementing plant safety directives in conjunction with Legal, HR and Operations departments.
Assist facilities with; safety & environmental compliance obligations, develop and manage implementation of directives, coordination of worker's compensation objectives, audit and assist in correction of all deficiencies of facilities for adherence to compliance objectives and directives, all site compliance activities, assist with facility required inspections and investigations, some travel will be required to assist other facilities will be required.
Responsibilities
Identify and Communicate Compliance Obligations
Monitor regulatory developments in environment/health/safety area for new/revised compliance obligations, areas of potential risk/liability, and advise plant leadership regarding these issues. Assist with development of health/safety compliance strategies in conjunction with corporate directives. Develop/distribute plain language health/safety compliance requirement directives to plant mgmt.
in conjunction with the above group.
Network with industry peers, via participation in trade associations and seminars.
Act in a Leadership Role with Plant Personnel in Fulfilling Health/Safety Compliance Obligations Provide direction, review and oversee all safety systems.
Identify, communicate and assist in the development of Best Practices for injury prevention.
Ensure reporting/record-keeping is complete, accurate and timely per OSHA and state agency requirements, insurer's requirements and DAP mandated requirements.
Prepare and/or approve employee training materials on health/safety, conduct training where plant resources are inadequate, or where centralized training responsibility is appropriate.
Ensure Adherence to Safety Compliance Obligations and Directives
Conduct monthly issue review sessions with Corporate EH&S and Plant Managers to assure facility stay in compliance and maintain safety performance objectives.
Conduct and Manage Incident Analysis Program Lead, assist and maintain incident reporting procedures to DAP Corporate and RPM.
Evaluate trends in incidents.
Recommend corrective actions to minimize/eliminate undesirable trends.
Incorporate accident prevention programs into safety directive.
Maintain Environmental reporting requirements Keep accurate records on plant emission calculations to maintain monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting submission requirements.
Assure plants stay in compliance with required external and internal reporting requirements.
Working knowledge of TRI, Tier II, SPCC and SWPPP is requested.
Requirements:
EHS Degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or similar field. 3+ years of relevant experience.
Computer software familiarity. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations. Experience in research skills. Certified Safety Professional preferred Must be Bilingual (English/ Spanish)

Position Summary:
Responsible for the overall management of the assigned Service Center location including: inventory, warehousing, customer relations, and sales.
Supervises 2 or more employees.
Essential Functions:
Communicate with local sales force assigned to the Service Center regarding inventory, color, and service needs. Manage inventory including: total turns, in-bound replenishments, aging calculations and expiry date control, bin space control, core product stocking. Manage inventory reorder points (ROPs) and reorder quantities (ROQs) levels to yield established on time in full (OTIF) and inventory goals. Direct and control daily/weekly cycle counting and physical inventories as required. Manage receipt of inbound and shipment of outbound goods. Interact with and assist customers as needed. Assure on Time in Full delivery to customer's request. Perform Root Cause Analysis on OTIF misses. Manage on-site order entry process as needed. Oversee implementation, utilization and quality conformity of local color eye and rapid tint functions. Approve and process returned goods. Assure accurate and timely shipment of replenishment orders. Prepare Bills of Lading per Department of Transportation (DOT) certification and guidelines. Manage and oversee reserved materials. Assure compliance with all regulatory and safety procedures that apply. Assure compliance to housekeeping expectations as defined by management.
Assist in daily warehousing duties as needed. Supervise warehouse and administrative staff. Monitor and manage all service center financial statement expenses to budget. Purchase: shipping, office, warehouse and other supplies as needed. Manage leasing of various equipment. Monitor and maintain training schedules for all personnel including: safety, DOT, forklift, IATA. Maintain records of operating and property lease agreements. Actively communicate with management to keep them advised on all pertinent matters. Preform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Minimum of Associates Degree in a Business-related discipline or minimum 7 years practical experience, minimum 2 years Supervisor or Management experience, minimum 1 year sales or retail experience preferred.
Must either have forklift certification or have ability to pass forklift certification test.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects over 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include 20/20 vision, with or without correction, close vision, distance vision, color vision, full peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Any function may be performed for up to four hours with no breaks.

Requirements:

Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience. Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process.
Ability to read and interpret process drawings (process flow diagrams and P&ID's).
PLC with ladder logic analysis.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
PC usage with MS Office Suite (AutoCAD experience a plus), strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills both written and verbal.

Requirements

Exceptional verbal, presentation, and training skills both.
Ability to work independently with new and existing clients to overcome typical sales objections (i.e.
- price, application knowledge, etc.) Cold-calling success within a territory to both large nationwide clients as well as small businesses in the roofing industry. Working knowledge and understanding of the permitting process with NOA's and approvals. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e.
Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Ability to work in adverse conditions, around chemicals, navigate construction sites, and climb ladders.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Engineer Intern (EI) Certification Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The CSS personnel will work directly alongside the contractors, focused on the restoration coatings line, to ensure that Tremco and the contractor are providing the best solutions, the best products and the best installations to our customers.
Duties/Responsibilities, Core knowledge:
* Ensure safe execution and delivery of all roofing services and operations.
* Provide a variety of technical training sessions in the contractor's office and field applications.
* Provide hands on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation.
* Perform roof inspections reports with written reports on condition analysis, photo documentation, recommendation and material budget estimates.
* Communicate professionally with our customers, Tremco sales representatives and regional sales managers and corporate staff.
* Complete weekly/monthly reports, sales activities, proposals and purchase orders.
* Travel within the assigned territory, complete expense reports on a timely basis.
* Pre-project field inspections and technical support including but not limited to:
* Peel tests
* Product recommendations
* Proper product installation
* Product diagnostic support to ensure the contractor is kept out of trouble in misuse of products for the situation.
* Provide an on-going sales support, training and development to the contractors, per the direction of the local sales reps.
* Be a direct line of contact to the contractors in the designated area, per the local sales reps, to maintain a good working relationship with the existing contractor base, keeping them informed and trained on Tremco s product line and new products introduced.
* Develop new contractors in the area, per the local sales team, by training on product systems and their usage.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
* High School diploma or GED
* Associate s degree (AAS), or Trade School Certification, or Bachelor s Degree (BS) preferred.
* 5+ years of roofing sales or technical experience in the commercial market.
* 2+ years of roofing repair, troubleshooting, or field service experience.
* Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems including built-up, modified, single ply, and metal systems.
* Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable Motor Vehicle record.
* Class B CDL driver s license.
* Strong roofing or building science mechanical aptitude.
* Prior experience in a field sales and service leadership role.
* Practical computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite and learn internal business systems).
* In-depth technical understanding and extensive hands-on knowledge of applications of products.
Intimate knowledge of product line.
* History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation.
* Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
* Overnight travel of up to 25% to support assigned customer accounts. The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $60,000 and $70,000.

Maintain oversight of the EHS function at the Corsicana Chemical Manufacturing Plant to ensure EHS compliance and risk are evaluated and managed appropriately. Partner with Corp EHS and other Manufacturing leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of EHS/risk reduction strategies, initiatives, and programs in alignment with SH&E performance trends, business goals, and regulatory obligations. Assist EHS team and SLT Managers in translating our division's EHS, Process Safety and Security goals into site-specific policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure that the Corsicana Plant implements and sustain effective EHS management systems in accordance with external and internal standards (e.g., Responsible Care, ISO, OHSAS, Energy Services' Integrated Management System, etc.) Interface with federal and local regulatory agencies on behalf of the Corsicana Plant to successfully demonstrate compliance legal, business and customer requirements. Participate as a member of the Corsicana Plant Site Leadership Team (SLT). Monitor the execution of EHS, Process Safety, and Security compliance-related engineering and capital projects at the Corsicana Plant to ensure completion in accordance with deadlines as established with local and federal agencies. Manage EHS compliance tools and processes, both internal and external. Advocate the consistent use of EHS compliance tools and processes throughout the division to report incidents, document incident investigations, and track closure of associated corrective actions in a timely manner. Ensure root cause investigations are conducted for those incidents with the greatest learning potential, lessons learned documents are generated and shared across the network and throughout the company. Audit effectiveness of root cause investigation action items Lead, or apply subject matter expertise in support of, RPM/Tremco EHS goals and objectives as requested. Monitor changes in EHS, Process Safety, and Security laws and regulations, assess the impact of the changes on the organization, and develop guidance documents to satisfy new/modified EHS, Process Safety, and Security requirements.
