Job Title: Sourcing Analyst Location: Vernon Hills, IL Department: Sourcing Reports To: Sourcing Director Job Summary: The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for developing and executing sourcing initiatives in collaboration with Sourcing Managers.
This role involves data management, data analysis, spend reporting, vendor and commodity forecasts, quote analysis, and overall support for the sourcing team in day-to-day tasks for assigned categories. Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis, forecasting, competitive benchmarking, and industry analysis to identify emerging opportunities or risks and report to sourcing managers Reporting: Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for management. Cost Reduction: Identify cost reduction opportunities, analyze cost structures, and contribute to cost savings and avoidance targets. Supplier Pricing: Manage supplier pricing database and handle pricing updates.
Work with accounting teams to resolve invoice and inventory discrepancies. Supplier Management: In conjunction with the sourcing managers, build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and pricing standards are met.
Research category trends, understand and evaluate supplier capacity to support business needs, and recommend new product capabilities. Negotiation: Assist with supplier negotiations related to costs of parts, tooling, and project timelines. Tactical Purchasing: Handle tactical purchasing activities such as expediting material and managing open PO issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management and analysis. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in SAP and other relevant software. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: Experience in market analysis and competitive benchmarking. Knowledge of cost drivers and risk management in sourcing. Receive color related orders, and maintain work schedule. Make a folder with all relevant color matching information for the color technician. Maintain marketing color chip file. Prepare and maintain charts, such as Federal Colors, base densities and other cross references. Must be friendly, organized, detail oriented, flexible and dependable. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Take an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules & regulations and immediately report all injuries and incidents to your supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all dispenser equipment in the field. Ability to visit and evaluate a plant to order the proper dispenser equipment needed to do the job right (such as conduit for electrical, hose lengths, position of dispenser, etc.) Install the dispenser equipment and help assist the customer in matching our dispenser to their plant (such as counts, added products, etc.).
When the install is complete tech is responsible to clean up any mess that was created during the visit. Will be responsible to pick up any equipment in the field that needs to be removed, and returned to a Euclid facility.
Responsible to wash out any tanks immediately upon being returned at the Euclid Chemical plant with the guidance of the plant manager on the waste product. Willingness and ability to restore any used equipment that can be reused. Will be required to do paperwork (such as DOT Certifications, Expense Reports, Daily or Weekly Reports, etc.) The DOT Certifications will be done professionally on Euclid Letterhead and handed to the customer. May be asked to transfer safe amounts of material from location to location (such as raw materials for concrete testing, admixture, fiber, etc.). Required to order equipment and install that equipment at the designated customer location and maintain that equipment after installation. Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment when needed. Assist in state inspections where necessary. Respond to customer issues with those dispensers when needed. Assure that their truck is properly equipped with the necessary parts to fix or repair the equipment.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays when required.
Flexibility: A flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, depending on customer needs.
Work Ethic: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, fabrication, and mathematical concepts is essential.

Respond to customer/Sales/internal inquiries and requests by email or phone within Departmental KPIs for quality and responsiveness. Coordinate new account set-ups and payment terms with the Accounts Receivable Dept.
Maintain addresses, notes, contacts, and customer preferences as needed (within DayGlo's capabilities to meet).
Write up debits, credits, and complaints within Departmental KPIs for responsiveness. Assist entire Team whenever required. Refer all inquiries, requests or problems outside the scope of the Customer Service Rep.
to the appropriate Sales Rep., Department, or Manager to ensure prompt resolution and total customer satisfaction. Recruit customers to utilize our online order portal. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment.
Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.
Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment.
Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.
