Who are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join their growing team.
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining metal fabrication machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality components to exact specifications.
The Machine Operator role is offering a Temporary to Permanent contract.
Paying £12.21 - £12.50 (depending on experience)
Working full time Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities for the Machine Operator:
- Operate machines such as CNC lathes, pillar drills, linishers and hand tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
To be a successful Machine Operator:
- Previous experience operating metalworking machinery (CNC, pillar drills, linishers, grinders)
- Strong understanding of mechanical processes and tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime if required

Leverage and develop site capability on CI tools and techniques (Lean Six-sigma, Kaizen, SMED, 5S, Line-balancing, Centrelines).
Support the maintenance and drive CI in our bakery OEE performance management system.
Support embedding site values as part of CI Strategies.
Demonstrate Health and Safety adherence and cultural behaviours to support site culture.
Essential or desirable skills as the Continuous Improvement Coordinator.
Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or similar relevant qualification in CI - essential.
Previous experience/qualifications in Manufacturing Excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer and the WTI Crew.
Inspect and ensure all surroundings, equipment and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns.
Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit to the Supervisors as applicable Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any WTI project.

These items will include, detailed work performed updates, materials consumed, and supplies purchases are all recording daily. Ensure that all WTI Field Reps will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer. The Field Resource Foreman is responsible for the ordering, tracking, and monitoring inventory and ensure Quarterly cycle counts are completed and submitted timely. Per pricing procedures review each field service project over $5,000 for pricing accuracy. Submit all projects over $20,000 to the WTI Supervisor prior to submitting to the Sales Rep or customer. Manage, monitor, and document performance of Field Resource Reps and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues.
Consult with WTI Field Resource Supervisor and Human Resources as needed. Perform any other duty and/or project as required or assigned by the WTI Supervisor and/or Regional Manager.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum five years' experience in the commercial roofing industry. Here's what you can expect every day: Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties. Propose changes to Maintenance Supervisor. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Schedule and or work with contractors on building maintenance related activities Use hand tools and power tools in making facility maintenance repairs. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. Preferred Skills: 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment Ability to do basic math. Accurately enter and retrieve computer data. Ability to solve problems in a team environment. Willing to work overtime as required. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour.
