She is very social and enjoys activities such as visiting farms, going for walks, attending clubs, and spending time with her friendship circle.
Supporting her to access a variety of activities is essential.
Her safety is always the top priority.
At times, this may involve physical intervention to keep her safe, so the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is crucial, as her behaviours can be unpredictable.
She also lives with Epilepsy.
While seizures are not always frequent, there can be periods of seizure activity which may require rescue medication.
You will need to be attentive and responsive to her needs
Communication is key, she uses unique signs and understanding this is essential for building trust.
She is largely independent with personal care but requires the support of two staff members during these times.
She enjoys being pampered and loves all things girly and sparkly.
Some prompting or direct support may be required.
The team prepares meals for safety reasons, though she enjoys being involved in meal preparation.
