Document training of all associates on new procedures and equipment.
Keep employees trained and well informed on new processes. Work with Maintenance Manager and Mechanics on all equipment problems, change-overs and issues concerning safety in all departments. Oversee shift clean up tasks, communicate safety and processing concerns as well as issues with regulatory compliance. Communicate results/ concerns/ issues with Managers, Purchasing and Production Scheduler. Ensure shift to shift hand-off is completed and problems are addressed via email to Production Manager and other shifts. Accomplish related results as assigned. Required Experience:
Associate degree required; BS in an Engineering or Business discipline strongly preferred or commensurate experience. Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably in chemical/paint manufacturing. A proven change agent with demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a diverse group of associates. Train and Coordinate teams to achieve high levels of productivity, quality and safety performance. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office packages, SAP experience preferred. Proven abilities to successfully drive continuous improvement, manage multiple priorities and multitask. Ability to work well with other peer groups. Knowledge of industrial safety regulations, BRI, 5S Housekeeping and Lean Manufacturing. Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Previous Experience:

IT Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages- ability to maintain inventory records electronically. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Must be available to work the following shift: 9 am - 5:30pm and flexible to work other shifts as determined by the needs of the business- including evenings and weekends.

Monitors and controls high-speed disperser, mixer, pumps, flow meters and other instruments in order to make sure that a batch is produced according to work instructions. Adjust a batch, under QC guidance, until it is approved. Get batch tickets from floor supervisor and discuss with floor supervisor the best order.
Determine raw materials needed. Housekeeping - Clean up work area to 5S standards, takes out trash, participate in cycle count and inventory program. May assist in other departments such as filling, and material handling or help make sample batches Ensure work area is safe, clean and free of recognizable hazards, communicating all spills or other hazards to the shift supervisor Responsible for Dust collector cleanouts when required. Maintaining hazardous waste storage area and hazardous waste inventory in a manner consistent with all federal, state, local and company regulations and policies. Responsible for ensuring all trucks, trailers, and drivers have the proper licenses and certifications to haul any and all materials they deliver or pick up from Arnette Polymers, including hazardous waste. Ensure all containers are clean, labeled properly, and stored in appropriate containers, as to maintain compliance with all regulations and policies; Knowledgeable in DOT and RCRA regulations.
