We are working on an exciting role with a leading financial services firm, for a Transaction Processing Contractor to join our client, remotely, on an initial 9-month contract.
Skills/Experience:
Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent area
Technical skills in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel, Teams, etc.
Awareness of the investment lifecycle and/or experience in the asset management or banking industries
Minimum 2-4 years of working experience
Strong written and verbal communication in English
Prior experience with Simcorp Dimension (desirable)
Strong attention to detail with a passion for problem solving (desirable)
Ability to multi- task and work independently in addition to collaborating with a team (desirable)
Strong sense of accountability (desirable)
Core Responsibilities:
Reconcile positions to custody in Simcorp Dimension
Reconcile custodian cash balances daily
Monitor, investigate & resolve exceptions
Liaise with the custodian bank or other third parties as necessary when investigating an exception.
Escalate missing statements to custodian
Communicating the break details of material exceptions to stakeholders around the business, as appropriate
Calculate, process and report monthly fees
Ensure accurate trade data is maintained in the system
Coordinate and execute payments
Lead and/or support process improvement efforts
Provide other routine and ad hoc support for trading activities

Typically, this person will be a commercially astute and financially savvy operational leader with a passion for boating and a track record of managing teams and driving profitability.
The ideal candidate will possess prior P&L responsibility and hands-on business management experience, ideally within marina operations or a related field.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Business Leader:

Operational Management:
Ensure operations comply with Health & Safety and industry regulations
Manage marine lifting operations and yard equipment
Plan and oversee daily team workloads
Assist in operational tasks and emergency duties as required
2.
Strategic Development:
Identify and implement new business opportunities
Maximize revenue streams and identify cost-saving initiatives
Collaborate with Marketing to execute growth strategies
Manage and develop commercial properties to ensure compliance and profitability
3.
Financial Oversight:
Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Monitor business performance against targets
Plan capital expenditure and manage cost controls
4.
Leadership and Team Development:
Build a culture of customer service and continuous improvement
Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team
Handle employment contracts, training plans and succession planning
5.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Promote Thornham as a leading marina destination
Foster relationships with suppliers, tenants, and local authorities
Represent the business in key negotiations and agreements
6.
Innovation and Growth:
Explore new technologies and processes to improve operations
Support wider business growth aligned with strategic goals
Qualifications and Requirements for the Business Leader:
Proven experience managing a business or operational unit with full P&L responsibility
Experience managing and motivating diverse teams
Strong commercial and financial understanding, including budgeting and reporting
Demonstrated success delivering growth and new initiatives
Excellent planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills
Technically minded with knowledge of boat handling or lifting operations preferred
Familiar with Health & Safety legislation and best practices
Experience in sales and marketing strategy development
CRM systems knowledge is desirable
A proactive, team-oriented, and positive attitude

They are currently looking for skilled Pipefitters.
The Role - Pipefitter:
As a Pipefitter, you'd be responsible for replacing pipe systems within a large food manufacturing facility, focusing on equipment like bulk conveying systems, milling, and packaging machines, while adhering to safety guidelines.
This company specialises in high-quality mechanical installations across a range of commercial and industrial projects and is looking for a reliable and experienced professional to support their growing workload.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Fabricate, install, and weld pipework using MMA welding techniques.
- Carry out Flux Cored Arc Welding welding on 304 Standard stainless steel pipework to a high standard.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise pipework installations.
- Cut, prepare, and fit pipes to meet project requirements.
- Work as part of a team to complete on-site mechanical installations.
- Ensure all welding and pipefitting work meets industry regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks and rectify any welding defects.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Pipefitter Welder.
- Expertise in welding.
Coded advantageous.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
Working Environment:
- You could work in a factory environment, potentially in cramped spaces.
- You may need to wear safety clothing and use safety equipment.
- The role requires physical strength and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Pipefitter:

- Experience working in confined space (ideally trained)
