Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with 4-5 years of experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the financial management of construction projects from initial cost planning through to final accounts.

Attend site meetings to monitor progress, assess variations, and ensure cost control.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety, and company standards.
Provide advice on legal and contractual issues relating to the project.
Post-Contract Services:
Manage the closeout of projects, including the preparation of final accounts.

Attend site and ensure sufficient records of progress are taken on a regular basis and are adequately documented.
Prepare Part V submissions and conclude all relevant negotiations.
Accountable for the timely completion of the monthly QS cycle on site.
Work closely with the Project Team to ensure successful delivery and completion of the project.

6-10+ years post-graduate experience with a Main Contractor or Developer.
Residential/House Building construction experience preferred.
Experience/technical knowledge of all modern methods of construction.

A client within the private sector based in Lancashire is currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible.
The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a construction environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to assist in the provision of quantity surveying services under the direction of the Directors and senior staff.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Comply with the clients internal quality assurance management procedures and governance;
Prepare estimates, cost plans, undertake interim valuations, cost reports and value for money reports;
Preparation of interim valuations, contract instructions and final accounts;
Contract administration and cost control;
Tender document preparation; Tender reporting;
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require to be educated to a to NVQ Level 4 in a construction related discipline as well as a minimum of 2 years' experience for a construction related organisation.
It will be essential to be in experiences in the below:
Experience of developing and managing contracts;
Proven track record of assisting in a high quality, high volume customer led service;
Demonstrate competence in a housing or technical construction discipline;
