CNC Turner Responsibilities
- Set & operate CNC lathes to produce components following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring that all components meet quality standards and are produced efficiently.
- Programming editing and optimising.
- Previous experience on multi-axis lathes is a bonus.
- Inspecting finished components for accuracy and quality.
- Working with tight tolerances and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Collaborating with the production team to adjust processes and improve efficiencies.
- Conducting routine maintenance on CNC machinery.
- Following all safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
- This role is on a double-day shift so will entail a mix of alternating early and late starts.
CNC Turner Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner with expertise in CNC Turning using Fanuc or Siemens control systems.
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Strong understanding of precision engineering and the ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Proficient in changing tools and setting offsets on CNC lathes.
- Capability to edit and optimise CNC programs when needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
