KHR is working with a Warehouse based in Paddock Wood who is looking to hire a Forklift Driver on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
Responsibilities of the Forklift Driver will include:
- Operating Bendi / Flexi / Pivot Steer FLT
- Heavy Lifting when required
- Handling inbound goods, outbound orders
- Maintaining accurate inventory and stock-level records
- Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followed
Candidate Profile
- Must hold a valid external Reach Truck licence
- Prior experience working in a busy warehouse
- Have an adequate understanding of the English language for H&S
- Own and wear a pair of safety boots and a Hi-vis jacket
Operatives can be scheduled in 5 days across 7.
Saturday & Sunday are treated as a normal day.

Holt Engineering are currently working with a technical manufacturing company based in Edinburgh, who are on the lookout for a Logistics Operative.
This is a temporary on-going contract, working Monday to Friday 8:20am-5:05pm with an early finish on Friday.
As a Logistics Operative you will:
- Organise and maintain inventory records and carry out inventory checks
- Manage and handle shipping, loading and unloading of products
- Operating forklifts and pallet jacks
- Drive, vans, trucks, passenger cars handling warehouse/logistics materials
- Processing received deliveries and distribution efficiently
- Processing production orders and material requests to the factory
- Develop new procedures to improve processes and reduce cost
- Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction and financial commitments are met
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
- Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
- Manage and develop logistics team
The key skills required for the Logistics Operative:
- Previous Skills working within an similar stores/logistics environment
- Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory and distribution
- Previous SAP knowledge an advantage
- Confident using windows based PC programmes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Work as part of a team
- Good time keeping
- Must be flexible
- Show Initiative
This role is paying £12.30 - £14.50 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

As the Warehouse Manager, you'd be responsible for the Management of the Warehouse, People Management, Stock Control and Health & Safety.

THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER ROLE OVERVIEW:
As the Warehouse Manager, you'll be working within a busy fast paced environment responsible for leading a team of 10 Permanent and Temporary personnel which include Pickers, Packers and Forklift Drivers, amongst others
Liaising with the Sales, Operations and Transport teams to ensure that all orders are fulfilled and shipped to customers with the agreed time periods.
Ensuring KPI's are achieved inline with the agreed specifications and time periods.
Planning and managing the team resource to ensure that projects are fulfilled within the timescales
Managing, Training and Coaching team members to ensure that they have the required skills and to ensure continued development
Monitoring progress and productivity at regular intervals
Ensuring full compliance at all times of company policies and procedures, standards and legislation
Communicating with Customers, Suppliers and internal departments to ensure a smooth delivery of orders.
THE PERSON:
Must have current experience as a Warehouse Manager or Logistics Manager (Or Similar) within a fast paced warehousing environment.
My client would be open to considering an individual who has experience at Yard Manager / Branch Manager level from a Builders Merchant background
Excellent people management skills are essential you'll need to be able to demonstrate that you can effectively manage both permanent and temporary staff to achieve optimum performance
Must have excellent experience and skills of Health and Safety within a warehousing style environment
An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships internally and externally
Strong levels of computer literacy, ideally with experience of using an ERP system
