Job Description:
Legend Brands is seeking a Welder for Prescott, AZ location.
Lays out, fits, and fabricates metal components to assemble structural forms.
Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other materials applying appropriate welding techniques.
This is a day shift position, Monday - Friday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Some overtime may be required based on business needs.
Job Requirements:
Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment Remove rough spots from work piece using a grinder Ignite torch and adjust valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc
Qualifications:
Must have one year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment, welding aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel using MIG and TIG methods Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process Outstanding attention to detail

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Preheats production equipment for daily startup. Performs daily conditions checks on all operating equipment. Lubricates assigned equipment according to lubrication schedule. Maintains lubricant levels for mixer seal system and strainer ram lubrication system, check pumps % daily maintain grease levels, check pumps % daily. Checks all equipment air filters on a daily basis and replaces as necessary. Checks operation of air compressor and cooling tower daily, notes problems and makes corrections as required. Check monthly with Cooling Water Treatment Technician. Checks operation of algicide feeding system daily and refills as needed. Makes repairs to facilities as needed to include plumbing, heating, and A/C. Performs minor electrical maintenance. Operates maintenance machine tools, performs welding as needed, cutting torch and brazing. Responsible for maintenance shop housekeeping. Follows safe practices in the performance of all duties. Delivers and picks up items used for maintenance needs. Maintain air in line oiler throughout plant when needed lubricates. Performs other miscellaneous maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor. Position Summary:
Applies all Carboline coatings to panels for use by customers, sales and R&D for testing purposes as well as for sales aids.
Participates in spray evaluations.
Essential Functions:
• Preparation of panels prior to coating.
Have a good understanding of the basic operation of hand and power tools, abrasive blast cabinet and pin welder.
To include minor maintenance of same. • Have a good understanding of how to operate as well as maintain mixing equipment, airless and conventional spray equipment to apply Carboline products. • Know how to use inspection equipment, surface preparation standards, etc. • Provide documentation for panels which will be tested.
Spray nuclear testing orders upon certification. • Responsible for maintaining a stock of standard panel systems. • Package and ship sample panels. • Understand basic coating technologies so that Carboline coatings can be properly applied and cured for sample panels, evaluations, field work, etc.
Be able to troubleshoot and correct coating and application problems. • Assist the R&D Department in application of new or revised product evaluations, new equipment evaluations, etc.
