About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Community Link Worker to join the Get Safe team.
This role is focused on supporting and protecting children and young people at risk of exploitation, working closely with families and partner organisations to safeguard vulnerable individuals and divert them from harm.
The Get Safe partnership supports children and young people affected by:
Gangs
Sexual Exploitation
Trafficking
Modern Day Slavery
Going Missing/Absent
Forced Marriage
Criminal Exploitation
This is a key role in raising awareness of exploitation risks, strengthening pathways of support, and delivering direct interventions to young people who are most vulnerable.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with vulnerable children and young people at risk of or experiencing exploitation.
Build strong and trusting relationships with young people, families, and professionals to promote positive change.
Deliver direct support and interventions to some of the most hard-to-reach individuals.
Work in partnership with agencies such as youth services, education, health, and justice to raise awareness of the Get Safe agenda.
Map and connect with local youth provision, creating effective referral pathways and upskilling youth workers.
Promote understanding among community and partner organisations of how to identify and respond to exploitation.
Attend multi-agency meetings, contributing to coordinated safeguarding plans.
Support the wider Get Safe team, which includes missing children officers, social workers, link workers, and managers.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience of working with vulnerable children and young people, ideally within the context of exploitation, safeguarding, or youth support.
Strong engagement skills, with the ability to connect with hard-to-reach individuals.
Experience of multi-agency working and building collaborative partnerships.
Knowledge of issues relating to child exploitation, gangs, trafficking, and modern slavery.
Confidence in delivering awareness sessions and supporting professionals to recognise risks.
A proactive and resilient approach to challenging and sensitive situations.

The Therapeutic Support Worker role is working in a brand new children's home in Coalville supporting 2 young people with traumatic backgrounds and social, emotional issues who are being supported to obtain education and career prospects.
The Support Worker role is offering the following
£ 31,857.08 @ 12.40 per hour inclusive of sleep ins and full time hours (without a Level 3)
Shift patterns are normally, 1 day on and 2 days off.
This usually 10 shift per month, occasionally 11 (dependent upon the number of days in the month)
Sleeps ins are paid at £65 per night
