This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with personal injury litigation experience who is passionate about international law and complex cross-border matters.
Files the team work on include:
RTA abroad involving complex jurisdiction and applicable law issues.
Claims under the package travel regulations.
Workplace accidents overseas.
Maritime and aviation accidents.
Group illness litigation.
Accidents occurring in the US and other jurisdictions.
You will play a key role in managing a varied caseload from instruction to resolution, often involving high-value and legally complex claims.
Key responsibilities include:
Advising clients on liability, quantum, funding and limitation.
Instructing medico-legal experts and managing expert evidence.
Drafting legal documents and preparing cases for trial.
Representing clients with professionalism and empathy throughout litigation.
Collaborating with colleagues, experts and counsel to drive case strategy.
Ensuring compliance with CPR and relevant professional standards.
Participating in business development activities such as writing articles, giving talks, and contributing to the team's growth.

Qualified solicitor or legal executive (NQ+), with PI experience.

THE PERSON:

THE GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT ROLE: As Group Financial Accountant, you'll be reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, you will take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance and controls across a group structure.
You will also lead the build-out of the transactional finance function within the next 3 to 6 months.
Own the month-end close process, delivering timely management accounts and commentary
Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Maintain a monthly accounting calendar, ensuring deadlines for reconciliations, journals and reporting are met
Produce annual statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP (FRS 102)
Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors

THE PERSON:
Must be fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
3 to 5 years post-qualification experience in a fast-scaling SME Commercial business environment, within a Group Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role or similar.
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, retail or similar commercial sectors preferred
Hands-on experience preparing management accounts, reconciliations and statutory accounts
Group accounting experience is essential

Specialist law firm looking to recruit a Housing Disrepair Solicitor into their Manchester offices.
You will be working in a Legal 500, Tier 1 ranked Housing Litigation team to provide advice on a broad spectrum of Housing Litigation matters, to a variety of organisations, nationally.
As a Housing Disrepair Solicitor, you will manage own caseload of mixed property litigation that may include estate management work, possession actions, business lease renewals, injunctions, and also residential cases such as possessions, rent recovery, disrepair etc.
for both housing association and other residential landlords.
The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years PQE within Property law, can confidently assist and manage with more junior members of the team, can prioritise their time effectively whilst needing minimal supervision with tasks, is personable and has excellent communication and client care skills.
