We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Civil Engineer with 35+ years of post-graduate experience to join our growing engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, contributing to innovative and sustainable design solutions.The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through to construction, working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare civil engineering designs and calculations for highways, drainage, earthworks, and external works.
- Produce technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
- Develop designs using industry-standard software packages.
- Support project delivery from feasibility through planning, detailed design, and construction stages.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, statutory bodies, and other project stakeholders.
- Attend site visits, inspections, and project meetings as required.
- Assist with the preparation of planning and technical approval submissions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
- Mentor and support junior members of the team where appropriate.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Approximately 35 years\' experience within a consultancy or design environment.
- Experience in drainage design, highway design, and infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in relevant design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of UK design standards and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
- Working towards professional accreditation (ICE or similar) would be advantageous.
