The Role
As a Community (Domiciliary) Care Assistant, you will travel between clients' homes in the local area to provide essential care, support, and companionship.
Your responsibilities may include:
Personal care (washing, bathing, continence support)
Mobility assistance and medication support
Meal preparation and light household tasks
Delivering person-centred care that promotes independence
Supporting individuals to access the community or attend appointments
Working closely with families and healthcare professionals
This is a community-based driving role, so travelling locally between clients is essential.
Shifts Available
We are especially interested in candidates who can start early mornings from 7:00am and/or work evening shifts until 23:00pm.
Typical shifts include:
Morning shifts: 7:00am - 14:30pm
Afternoon to evening: 14:30pm - 23:00pm
Tea & Bed shifts: 17:00pm / 18:00pm - 23:00pm
Full-time, part-time, and weekend-only roles available.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in Frontline and assessment work.
About the team
The team makes decisions and performs statutory functions to ensure the correct outcomes for children and their families are achieved.
They do this by working with children from a range of services, such as CIN (Children in Need) and CP (Child Protection), and due to holding court cases, a few of the children are also in LAC (Looked After Children).
Experience with LAC would be desirable but not essential.

Her safety is always the top priority.
At times, this may involve physical intervention to keep her safe, so the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is crucial, as her behaviours can be unpredictable.
She also lives with Epilepsy.
While seizures are not always frequent, there can be periods of seizure activity which may require rescue medication.
You will need to be attentive and responsive to her needs
Communication is key, she uses unique signs, and understanding this is essential for building trust.
She is largely independent with personal care but requires the support of two staff members during these times.
She enjoys being pampered and loves all things girly and sparkly.
Some prompting or direct support may be required.
The team prepares meals for safety reasons, though she enjoys being involved in meal preparation.
Maintaining her home environment is also an important part of the role.
While this is an established team, her needs are evolving.
Therefore, we are looking for adaptable individuals who can respond to change.
Due to the specialist nature of this role, successful candidates must be willing to work in other areas of the business around Swindon if required.
