JOB DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the management of hourly warehouse staff and coordinating the flow of goods and materials to and from docks, including receiving, allocation, and loading to meet delivery deadlines.
Accountable for the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of warehouse operations, including order picking, receiving, and outbound shipments, while supporting key performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with directing and supervising hourly warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations
Partner with and back up the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Coordinator in daily operations and decision-making
Coordinate dock operations, including managing inbound/outbound trucks, dock scheduling, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
Ensure all incoming freight is properly inspected, verified, and dispositioned in a timely manner
Assist with order verification and coordinate the accurate and efficient loading of outbound freight to meet customer delivery requirements
Monitor and support key performance indicators such as on-time shipment, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and labor productivity
Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives related to workflow, layout, and material handling to improve throughput and reduce errors
Enforce and model compliance with all safety policies, operating procedures, and housekeeping standards
Process inbound and outbound freight transactions in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
Assist in training and onboarding of new employees and reinforcing standard work practices
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
DOT 49 CFR HAZMAT certified or ability to obtain certification.
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with SAP is a plus.
Forklift and/or Reach Truck experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Vision and manual dexterity for frequent keyboard / PC use.
Vision sufficient to read labels & tickets, and to safely navigate high volume pedestrian and machine traffic.
Ability to move throughout the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities:
The summer intern would work under mentorship of Project Manager.
The primary project will focus on one of the following areas: Developing a new project management schedule that compares waterfall and agile approaches; establishing a standardized protocol and SOP for capturing lessons learned during NPD and creating a centralized repository; or designing and implementing AI integration within NPD by leveraging existing platforms and enhancing prompt strategies.
Pay
$17 / hour.
Requirements
Major: Marketing, Communications, Project Management Junior, or Senior. Project Management Fundamentals Understanding of basic PM concepts (scope, schedule, risk, deliverables).
Familiarity with methodologies like Waterfall and Agile. Analytical & Research Skills Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.
Comfort with data interpretation and summarizing insights Documentation & Knowledge Management Skilled in creating templates, SOPs, and structured repositories.

• Exercises control over design and production tasks to enable HVAC restoration projects.

• Utilizes in-house estimating tools to create project budgets.
• Assists the sales team with scope reviews and support as needed.

This includes calculating costs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and any other expenses associated with the project.
• Ensures a smooth transition from design to project execution, providing technical guidance and insights during and after construction.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Engineer Intern (EI) Certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• 5+ years of industry-specific experience.
• Experience with construction drafting in AutoCAD.
• EI certification with the ability to obtain a PE license preferred.
