We are currently working on a vacancy for a legal professional with expertise in complex injury claims to join an excellent team based in Southampton working for a highly ranked firm.
The role provides a fantastic opportunity to work on high-value, multi-track and catastrophic injury cases including EL/PL and RTA claims.
As a Complex Injury Assistant Lawyer, you will do the following:
Collaborate with a lead lawyer to manage a diverse caseload, composed of EL/PL and RTA claims, from inception to resolution.
Conduct forensic analysis of medical records and quantum evidence, identifying key issues.
Draft technical advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and strategy.
Engage with insurer clients, witness and medical experts.
Prepare pleadings, witness statements, and other legal documentation.
Attend mediations, court hearings and conferences as needed.
Delegating tasks and mentoring junior team members.
Maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Required skills and experience:
Legal qualification (Solicitor or CILEX) or proven relevant legal experience.
Expertise in indemnity, liability, and complex medical issues.
Strong critical thinking, analytical and advocacy skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in IT and case management systems.

The team handles all aspects of public children law and represents parents, children, guardians, and central government agencies.
