Knowledge/Experience required:
An extensive knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the associated SEND Code of Practice'.
An up-to-date understanding of proposed changes in developments in special needs.
High level of verbal and written communication skills.
IT Skills.
Knowledge of the impact of placement decisions on High Needs Funding.
A successful track record as a senior manager in a service for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
The ability to use management information to judge service performance and to devise and implement service improvement strategies.
Experience of designing and implementing innovative change which will deliver legislative requirements and improve services.
Experience of managing a range of administrative functions and systems in a multidisciplinary environment.
Work with members of the public in a customer service role.

What will you do this year?

Within the Referral and Assessment Service, the Referral and Assessment Teams receive all new referrals from the Bromley MASH and undertake Child and Family assessments to determine how best children's needs can be met.
There are 6 teams, each consisting of a team manager and 5 social workers.
The teams go onto duty for one week every 6 weeks and during their duty week, social workers will receive new allocations
About you
A degree within Social Work (Degree, DipSW, CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years' experience is required to be deemed suitable for this role.
You need to have a good understanding of what good social work practice looks like and be passionate about systemic and relational based practice models.
You need to be positive, motivated and feel that their current caseload allows them complete good social work interventions with families.
