As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities, ensuring that high standards are consistently met.Cleaning Operative Key Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal
Clean and sanitise washrooms, including descaling toilets, urinals, and showers
Carry out periodic deep cleaning, including fridges and microwaves
Handle spillages, including bodily fluids, following proper health & safety procedures
Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, stored properly, and safe to use.
Follow COSHH regulations when using cleaning chemicals.
Wear and maintain the Haringey Facilities Team uniform and necessary PPE
Report any faults, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
What We're Looking For:
At least 6 months experience in a similar cleaning role.
Understanding of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of correct cleaning techniques and colour coding.
Basic English and Maths skills.
Commitment to health & safety procedures and the clients policies.
Additional Information:
DBS Check Required - This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Physical Work - The role involves manual handling, working alone, and occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Flexible Working - You may be required to cover shifts or undertake additional duties when necessary.
