Our client provides managed cloud, managed support, managed security, business continuity and consultancy specialist services to a large number of SME and Enterprise clients across the UK.
As a Cabling Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cabling systems for a variety of clients.
This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
You will work in both structured environments (such as office buildings) and potentially more dynamic settings (construction/industrial sites), ensuring that all systems are installed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test network cables in both commercial and Industrial environments.
Ensure all cabling and equipment are installed in compliance with safety and industry regulations.
Conduct site surveys to assess cabling requirements and design solutions tailored to the client's needs.
Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting on existing cabling installations.
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, including drawings and as-built information.
Provide technical support and advice to clients on cabling and network systems.
Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a Cabling Engineer, Telecoms Engineer, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of cabling systems, including fibre optic, Cat6/6a.
Installation of Wi-Fi devices
Familiarity with the tools and equipment used in cabling installations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients and teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license is essential
CSCS card is essential

The post holder will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of how to use equipment safely and effectively

Experience of working in the independent sector
Ability to organise and manage day-to-day departmental activities and the activities of a large multidisciplinary team within this

The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £38,000 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
