JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
Carboline is looking for a strategic and results oriented Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Lead our team in identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities, leveraging strong relationship-building skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements:
4-year Business and/or Marketing degree, or minimum 10 years' experience.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires minimal physical activity.
It may require lifting up to 50lbs on occasion.
May require computer usage for an extended period - up to 8 hours in a day.
Occasional exposure to various chemicals.
May require travel by car and air up to 50%, including nighttime.
Essential Functions:
Conduct preliminary market research and analyze customer purchase behavior to define target groups.
Assemble all necessary product packages, sales training, and support literature to launch an effective market program.
Identify all new products required for penetration and growth in assigned markets.
Develop long-range (3 year) strategic plans for markets of responsibility.
Partner with field sales to cultivate relationships and drive sales growth in both active and prospective accounts.
Assist in training and development of sales representatives.
Identify owners, engineers, architectural and independent specification consultants who specify high performance coatings in region assigned.
Network with the specification community to develop quality, timely project leads.
Coordinate projects with site reps and contractors or fabricator reps to close sales.
Communicate with line management, marketing management, and local sales reps on a consistent basis.
Develop monthly project tracking reports and sales forecasts through SFA tools.
Develop and maintain specifications for engineering firms for regional, national, and international business and for select owner base.
Prioritize the development of new opportunities.
Provide project information to the field on a monthly basis.
Work closely with Director of Sales and Strategic Account Managers.
Maintain committed to the Company's safety and quality programs.

Must have experience leading a small team, within a similar role, such as Senior Management Accountant, Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Business Partner or Finance Manager
Must have experience of producing management accounts
Track record / experience of systems migration / implementation
Strong business partnering and communication skills to influence non-finance stakeholders

This person will be developing the lower spending “C & D” category customers, following up quotes, getting more contacts, updating them with relevant new products and offering remote training on their online configurators, products etc…
Managing the companies LinkedIn page, creating posts, contacting leads.
Encouraging customers to follow them etc… Chasing accounts that are overdue or have not paid upfront yet despite ordering.
Hosting factory tours & workshop training if the external sales engineer cannot attend or if the group size is large.

Candidates with the right experience operating at Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant, Financial Controller or Finance Business Partner level will be considered.THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER ROLE:
Reporting to the Finance Director, as the Financial Controller, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance department, leading and developing a team of 5.
Mentor, support and develop a newly promoted Management Accountant to manage the entirety of the process, while remaining hands-on with management accounting / group management accounting tasks in the interim.
Deliver insightful MI analysis and provide Finance Business Partner support to key operational departments.
Lead on cost of manufacturing, bills of materials, and standardised product costings analysis.
Full ownership of cashflow management, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Oversee weekly and monthly payroll.
Drive the implementation & adoption of a new ERP system, modernising and streamlining finance processes.
Manage manual processes in the short term while delivering automation longer-term.
Partner with operational and commercial leads to provide financial insight, challenge, and support decision-making.
Responsible for Year End, External Audit and Statutory submissions, in collaboration with the external practice.
Review and refine the company's bonus scheme and reward model.
Support the Finance Director with ad hoc analysis, projects, and strategic initiatives.
THE PERSON
Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or Qualified by Experience / QBE
Strong manufacturing of engineering finance background, including cost of manufacturing, bills of material / BOM's, and standard product costings
Must have experience leading a small team, within a similar role, such as Senior Management Accountant, Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Business Partner or Finance Manager
Must have experience of producing management accounts
Track record of systems migration / implementation
Strong business partnering and communication skills to influence non-finance stakeholders
Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress towards Head of Finance
