As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for advancing small-scale antibody production and automation within the Antibody Production Sciences group.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As a Research Scientist, you will perform small-scale transient mammalian transfections and purify monoclonal antibodies using automated techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the concrete block industry. Manage key customer accounts and build long-term relationships. Provide product demonstrations, technical advice, and training to clients on the use and benefits of admixtures. Prepare and present product proposals and negotiate contracts. Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs. Conduct market research to identify new trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to clients in selecting the right admixture products for their concrete block needs. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the application of concrete admixtures. Support the marketing team by contributing to product-related content, including technical brochures and case studies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Chemistry, or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in sales or technical support within the construction materials industry, preferably with concrete admixtures or similar products. Strong understanding of the manufactured concrete (block, pavers and mcp) process and the role of admixtures. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry trends is a plus.
Preferred Skills: Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Technical certifications in concrete technology or related fields. Multilingual capabilities are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires minimal physical activity but does require standing and computer usage for extended times (up to 8 hours/day).
Students must have housing arrangements in or near St.
Louis, MO for the summer, as housing allowance is not provided.
Basic knowledge of PPE and lab settings and equipment.
Essential Functions:
Gain hands-on experience with lab instruments and testing procedures to confidently conduct experiments.
Participate in all stages of research-planning, preparation, calibration, application, evaluation, data analysis, and proper disposal when needed.
