Stockport Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.
About the Role:
Stockport Council is seeking a dedicated Personal Adviser to join the Leaving Care Team.
This role involves supporting young people aged 16-25 who are, or have been, looked after by the local authority.
As a Personal Adviser, you will play a key role in helping care leavers transition to independent adulthood, providing guidance, support, and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring compliance with the Children Act 1989 and Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000.
Develop and implement Pathway Plans, supporting young people in education, training, and independent living.
Maintain regular contact, conduct assessments, and promote young people's welfare.
Work closely with partner agencies, including social services, health, housing, education providers, and law enforcement.
Support young people's financial independence and offer practical guidance on budgeting.
Participate in duty rotations, team meetings, and continuous training to provide high-quality service.
Essential Criteria:
Relevant experience with care leavers or young people.
Knowledge of Leaving Care legislation and child/adult development.
Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills.
NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification.
Ability to drive and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Deliver opportunistic health promotion when appropriate
Assist with urinalysis and third-party checks
Provide support during minor operations when required

The primary result expected from the Assistant Supervisor-Filling will be to supervise the department to ensure the manufacturing of paint and related products by directing and coordinating the daily activities under the guidance of the shift supervisor, executing the shift production work schedule as dictated via the production plan, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized working environment. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Enforce health and safety regulations. Help coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training. Observe work and monitor all indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Confer with management to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Responsibilities/Expectations: Communicate with Supervisors, peers: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. Learn all manual tasks performed within the department. Learn to operate all equipment in filling and packaging areas. Fill in for operators on a as need basis. Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures. Treat people with dignity and respect. Conduct all business with integrity. Ideally educated to a minimum HND level in Mechanical Engineering (Degree would be preferred)

A sound knowledge of SolidWorks and/or Inventor CAD, technical drawings and 3D modelling
