About the team
The team makes decisions and performs statutory functions to ensure the correct outcomes for children and their families are achieved.
They do this by working with children from a range of services, such as CIN (Children in Need) and CP (Child Protection), and due to holding court cases, a few of the children are also in LAC (Looked After Children).

About You - Plant Operative / Plant Operator (Port of Tilbury): You are a motivated, dependable and safety-conscious individual who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in delivering operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities as a Plant Operative / Plant Operator:
Coordinate and support the logistics of aggregate deliveries and shipments via road and vessel
Operate the weighbridge, ensuring all vehicle loads are recorded accurately
Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials and during processing operations (screening/crushing)
Support and carry out product audits to maintain quality and compliance standards
Assist with maintenance activities and ensure terminal equipment and plant are kept in safe working order
Liaise with hauliers, customers, and vessel agents regarding scheduling and site access
Safely operate terminal machinery, such as wheel loaders and conveyors, as required
Key Requirements to be a Plant Operative/ Plant Operator:
Previous experience within the aggregates, logistics, port, or construction materials sectors is advantageous
Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards
Proactive, reliable, and capable of working both independently and within a team
Flexible approach to working hours and operational duties
Excellent communication and organisational skills
