Responsible for unloading trailers with inbound deliveries and checking/completing supporting documents. Responsible for the safe and accurate loading of all outbound freight. Responsible for the accurate consolidation of the partial skids in preparation for shipment. Responsible for accurately staging outbound loads daily. Responsible for wrapping all completed production skids. Responsible for processing and organizing the return area. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping expectations. Unload bulk deliveries into correct storage vessels.
EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training. Previous forklift training is an asset but not required.

Must obtain an internal Forklift Truck driving license.

The role
Our Metocean Measurements department is now seeking an Oceanographer on a fixed term contract, based out of either our Wallingford or Portchester offices.
We specialise in monitoring, measuring and providing advice on physical oceanography, predominantly for offshore renewables, oil & gas and coastal infrastructure projects in Europe and Africa.
As an Oceanographer, you will be expected to participate on survey operations, with involvement in project planning and operations, equipment preparation and maintenance such as Datawell wave buoys or Nortek AWACs.
You will be expected to work to strict health and safety guidelines, involved in client liaison and responsible for the relevant project documentation.
You will get to use the latest oceanographic equipment, whilst working on industry leading projects supporting Project Managers you will get to work in a hands-on environment, where you will have to think on your feet and adapt to changing project needs.
Examination of metocean data quality will form part of the role.
The role will require frequent ad hoc travel and working offshore, split between UK based nearshore surveys lasting between 1-7 days and overseas work lasting typically 1-2 weeks.
Who we're looking for:
Essential
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Oceanography or closely related subject
Good English language skills, verbal and written;
Excellent computer literacy, including working experience of the Microsoft Office suite;
Excellent attention to detail and adherence to strict quality and safety proceedures;
Ability to work offshore for periods of up to 28 days, but more typically 1-7 days for UK based work and 1-2 weeks for overseas work.
Desirable
Ability to plan and supervise oceanographic survey operations including managing personnel and resources;
Able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with offshore, onshore and Client personnel;
Offshore experience;
Experience working on small work boats;
BOSIET or GWO marine training;
Experience in oil and gas, ocean science, renewables and/or survey industries.

- Experienced in Timbre mould-making
- Pattern making experience desired but not essential

- Individual who can read engineering drawings cope with varied jobs and materials.

The Role - Electrical Engineering Consultant:
- Working in close collaboration with the business development team to identify target clients
- Creating and delivering consultancy proposals to clients, including pricing and technical approach

This is a full time, temporary position working in the public sector.
The purpose of the role is to manage contractors on site and in discussion with the PM/QS can provide verbal and written instructions to the contractor.
Sometimes this will involve having to take decisions without having recourse to the PM/QS.
Responsibilities:
The Clerk of Works is required to act as an inspector on behalf of the employer under the direction of the Client Representative.
The Clerk of Works is responsible for inspection of building works and associated works on projects allocated to ensure that such works are executed in accordance with the contract documents and with any instructions issued from time to time by the Client Representative.
In addition to the Clerk of Works duties the postholder may be required to carry out additional duties as detailed below.
As directed provide cover for other Clerk of Works, in order to maintain continuity, during period of leave, sickness and other absence with responsibility for the day to day administration of projects during such periods.
Undertake responsibility as directed for the preparation of design/quotation/tender documentation on some projects and administer through to final account stage where required.
To be responsible for resolving customer complaints/claims quickly and to a satisfactory outcome.
Requirements:
HNC/HND in building surveying or equivalent.
Essential is a site management qualification or evidence of working towards a site management qualification
Full clean Driving licence
Knowledge of the issues involved in providing technical client advice for planned and responsive maintenance
Knowledge of building legislation, health and safety regulations and good technical knowledge
Knowledge of managing repairs contracts
Knowledge of good practice in commissioning and procurement and value for money in matters relating to the delivery of the capital programme.
Our client is looking to move quickly and is therefore offering between £30 - £32 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 dependant on experience and qualifications.
