JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Quality Support Specialist educates WTI personnel on the proper use and application of products, providing installation training both on and off the roof.
They oversee large self-performed projects from start to finish, conducting intermittent inspections and performing post-completion inspections of smaller projects.
The QCS will conduct regular job site visits during the project and after project completion.
The goal is to provide consistency nationwide through proper roof repairs and the application of our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure proper execution and delivery of all WTI GS and GC self-performed roofing work.
Provide a variety of technical and application training sessions in both field and shop settings.
Provide hands-on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation.
Attend pre-cons on large projects.
Be present at job start-ups to discuss the proper execution of the scope of work.
Visit the projects at specific intervals to assess the completed work and provide any direction or corrective advice.
Perform a pre-final inspection to ensure that the project has a zero-punch list.
Perform final inspections when needed.
Pre-project field inspections and technical support, including but not limited to:
Peel tests
Product testing
Product recommendations
Proper product installations
Post project completion inspection to ensure quality workmanship and proper utilization and application of materials.
Product diagnostic support to ensure that WTI is kept out of trouble due to misuse of products in the situation.
Conduct roof inspections, providing written reports and photo documentation.
Conduct on-site safety audits to ensure all safety requirements are met and consult with the safety team as needed.
Review and train on large warranty adjustment projects over ten (10) man days.
Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with our Technicians, Foremen, Supervisors, Field Operations Managers, Regional Business Managers, Corporate Staff, and the Sales Team.
Complete daily reports including DTA's, Safety Audits, Truck Audits, and QC Inspection Reports as necessary and applicable.
Complete weekly/monthly activity reports as requested.
Support the region as needed when weather conditions prevent the fulfillment of daily job responsibilities.
Facilitate training in a classroom setting.
All other Quality Control Inspection related tasks or training as assigned by the manager.
Travel predominantly within assigned territory and nationally when needed, complete and submit expense reports on a timely basis.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
OSHA 30 training OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong roofing or building science mechanical aptitude.
Prior experience in a field service leadership role.
Practical computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite and learning the necessary internal business systems)
In-depth technical understanding and extensive hands-on knowledge of applications of products.
Intimate knowledge of our product line.
This position is an autonomous role and requires self-motivation to manage a high level of independence.
Strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
Experience working with various types of technology and software.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $75,000 and $95,000.
This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.

My client, based in Kent, is looking for a Graduate Electronics Service & Repair Engineer to join their growing service team.
They are a specialist in advanced imaging and sensing solutions, designing and manufacturing thermal imaging, infrared camera and sensor systems used across defence, security, industrial inspection and public safety applications.
The role is site-based, with occasional travel, in Kent and will involve working as part of a collaborative service organisation responsible for the evaluation, failure diagnosis, repair, calibration and adjustment of thermal imaging products and systems.
This position would suit a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their practical electronics skills within a highly technical environment.
Responsibilities for the Graduate Electronics Service & Repair Engineer based in Kent:
Evaluate, diagnose, repair, calibrate and adjust thermal imaging products, infrared cameras and associated sensor systems. , Support fault-finding activities at component, PCB and system level on mixed-signal electronic assemblies. , Apply knowledge gained through academic projects, placements or industrial experience to investigate and resolve electronic faults. , Work closely with Customer Service, the Service Manager and wider technical teams, providing timely updates and clear progress reports. , Operate hand tools and electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters and signal generators. , Assist with software and firmware updates on camera products, using computer systems and embedded electronics knowledge where appropriate. , Maintain service records and documentation to support repair, calibration and verification activities.
Skills and requirements for the Graduate Electronics Service & Repair Engineer based in Kent:
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. , Academic, placement year, internship or industrial experience working directly with mixed-signal electronics. , Understanding of analogue and digital electronic circuits, PCB-level diagnostics and fault-finding techniques. , Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies. , Experience gained through university projects, laboratory work, placements or commercial environments involving electronic system development, testing or repair. , Knowledge of embedded systems, sensors, imaging technology or firmware would be advantageous. , Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in electronics diagnostics, repair and calibration. , Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a technical team environment. , Eligibility to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control licence where required.
