GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: With guidance from research management or more senior professionals, ensures that research activities in the section/group laboratories and associated operations are in compliance with the safety policies and programs of the company, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
With guidance from research management or more senior professionals, ensures that research activities in the section/group laboratories and associated operations are in compliance with the company's environmental policies and programs through execution of assigned responsibilities for reducing waste and promoting environmental protection.
With guidance from research management or more senior professionals, plans and conducts experimental programs to complete a phase of a project or several projects of minor scope.
Under close supervision, conducts research on and testing of improvement of existing products, development of new products and technology and may include routine to complex synthesis or testing.
Assignment may be a phase of a major project or a total project of minor scope.
With minimal supervision from more experienced professionals, conducts routine synthesis or testing which provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs (analytical, performance, physical properties, etc.).
Under the guidance of more senior professionals or research management, acquires knowledge of Tremco's products, procedures, and applications.
Interfaces with section personnel in trouble-shooting problems with hardware, testing/synthesis equipment, product, and methods development.
May be responsible for timely calibration and maintenance of the various laboratory and equipment and documentation according to the company's business processes.
With minimal guidance, conducts literature searches and gathers pertinent information related to specific topics.
Under minimal supervision, compile, analyze and correlate technical data and write timely reports on projects completed or progress reports.
Writes procedures in accordance with the company's business practices.
Works with research management to formulate goals aligned with the executive leadership's initiatives and for professional growth.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (special skills, knowledge, ability, education, etc.):
Requires a B.S.
in Chemistry or related technical field or can be progressed from Assist Chemist (performance-based and tested).
Effective communication (oral and written) skills.
Proficiency in computer programs necessary for writing reports and performing mathematical calculations.
Knowledge of specialized scientific programs for molecular structure drawing, experimental design and statistics is a plus.
Wages: $28.00 per hour.
This position is bonus 12.5% eligible annually.

General Purpose:
The Field Safety Engineer will be responsible for providing support and safety oversight to regional Roofing and Weatherproofing Technologies field employees (including but not limited to Sales, Roofing Advisors, CSS, Field Resource Representatives, and leadership), ensuring site compliance with corporate and client safety standards, as well as ensuring site safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.

Provide support to projects by maintaining a visible presence and conducting site visits to perform safety audits and safety process audits (e.g., safety document evaluation/compliance)

Participate with and/or conduct Toolbox Talk Meetings with Regional team employees. Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance. Effectively represent our Tremco safety culture with our subcontractors and help Tremco site leadership to ensure complete compliance of our subcontractors to applicable rules and regulations (Federal, State, local, owner, Tremco and their own). Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure safety practices and policies are being adhered to effectively. As a direct report to, regularly communicate safety audit results and/or field safety concerns (e.g., Stop Work Authority) with Assistant Safety Director and prepare observation reports as needed. Regularly audit the Site-Specific Safety and Health Plans for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions. Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately per the Tremco Incident Notification Policy. Participate and assist all field leadership in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary. Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed. Monitor and follow up on modified workers in the field. Must adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Occupational Health & Safety preferred) or 5+ Years of Construction experience with high school diploma. Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience required. OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification required. Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations. Working Knowledge on how to develop, implement, and audit a Daily Task Analysis for Employees and Subcontractors. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel/work remotely 80% or greater.

General Purpose:

Carboline is seeking an EH&S Specialist located at our manufacturing facility in Lake Charles, LA. This person would be responsible for implementing and managing the environmental, health, safety, security, and emergency response programs for the local production and distribution facility.

Provide coaching and support to employees, supervision, and management to proactively address safety, health, and environmental risks and concerns.
Initiate or assist in efforts to continuously improve the overall working environment in the facility.
Provide technical assistance, training, and work direction to colleagues in other departments.
Analyze problems, identifying alternative solutions, and implementing recommendations in support of the Company safety goals and objectives.

Tremco is currently looking for a Field Services Safety Engineer.
General Purpose:
The Field Safety Engineer will be responsible for providing support and safety oversight to regional Roofing and Weatherproofing Technologies field employees (including but not limited to Sales, Roofing Advisors, CSS, Field Resource Representatives, and leadership), ensuring site compliance with corporate and client safety standards, as well as ensuring site safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
This position will provide supervision and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirements of jobsites.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide support to projects by maintaining a visible presence and conducting site visits to perform safety audits and safety process audits (e.g., safety document evaluation/compliance)
*this should take place at least 80% of the week
* Enforce all Federal, State, local, owner and Tremco regulations throughout all Roofing regional projects. Assist site leadership to develop site-specific safety programs aligned with Tremco Field Services Safety policies and instruct supervisors on safety procedures, planning and equipment. Assist Regional Field Safety Managers with rolling out new safety initiatives and briefing employees as needed on new policies, or changes in existing policies, to keep current (e.g., Daily Task Planning, 100% audit compliance, safety training programs) Educate the workforce and regional leadership on understanding Tremco's safety cultural advancements, such as safety leadership and safety management systems. Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of Tremco Health and Safety programs in the field, to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met. Participate with and/or conduct Toolbox Talk Meetings with Regional team employees. Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance. Effectively represent our Tremco safety culture with our subcontractors and help Tremco site leadership to ensure complete compliance of our subcontractors to applicable rules and regulations (Federal, State, local, owner, Tremco and their own). Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure safety practices and policies are being adhered to effectively. As a direct report to, regularly communicate safety audit results and/or field safety concerns (e.g., Stop Work Authority) with Assistant Safety Director and prepare observation reports as needed. Regularly audit the Site-Specific Safety and Health Plans for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions. Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately per the Tremco Incident Notification Policy. Participate and assist all field leadership in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary. Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed. Monitor and follow up on modified workers in the field. Must adhere to all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Occupational Health & Safety preferred) or 5+ Years of Construction experience with high school diploma. Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience required. OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification required. Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations. Working Knowledge on how to develop, implement, and audit a Daily Task Analysis for Employees and Subcontractors. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel/work remotely 80% or greater.
You will be home every weekend.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Production Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Production Operator levels (I, II, & III).
