What will you do?
A penchant for business development, working out of your own office, you'll meet & engage new and repeat customers in your territory; assessing their needs, you will provide a truly consultative Stonhard solution. Customer sales calls include a mix of existing/repeat business along with prospecting for new customers and projects. Closely work with your manager to meet & exceed sales goals. Participate in overseeing the successful delivery of product installation, ensuring optimum customer satisfaction.
Project management responsibilities include ensuring raw materials are on site, construction crews have everything they need and troubleshooting any installation issues that may come up. Full turn-key operation ensures a smooth install and helps secure next project in another area or building. Will participate in an enriching training process spanning over two years, traveling to our headquarters for pre-planned, scheduled training(s).
Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Uncapped Commission potential (First 2 years): approx.
$15,000 - $50,000
Supplemental Pay Types:Commission Pay, Bonus Pay

JOB PURPOSE:
The Sr Manager of Sales Training will be in charge of supporting for Rust-Oleum US and Rust-Oleum Canada sales force by conducting and developing sales, product and developmental programs that will improve sales, developmental, technical knowledge and skills of the people being trained.
This role will also include the training of customers in product and sales technique.
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness. Research, evaluate, and suggest training programs to EVP. Evaluate sales talent and work to coach new skills. Work cross functionally to help develop the sales team. Grow and develop the sales training team's skill set. Conduct specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills. Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors or customer representatives. Conduct alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen. Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials. Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures. Conduct orientation and training for employees or customers. Monitor training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded, and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures. Understand and apply adult learning principles; utilize blended learning methodology. Create and facilitate product training for customers and employees.
Essential Job Functions:
Training a more effective and efficient sales force and customer base by creating and delivering training.
To include (but not limited to) sales training, hands-on product training, product training and skill development training.
To be delivered in a classroom style training, virtual classroom, hands-on product training, and online learning. On the job field training by evaluating and improving sales skills of our sales associates in the field, customer visits, and coaching sessions.
Provide new hire onboarding on products, systems, culture, and necessary processes and procedures required to be successful in their new role.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Bachelor's Degree, business or related field preferred 5+ years in a sales role 5+ years in the coatings industry Travel 25%-30% of the time to include, but not limited to meetings, training, field work days.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Sales Trainer is an important member of the Sales team.
This position reports to Sr.

This role will also assist with the design, development and delivery of training programs in order to improve the knowledge and skills of the sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Craft impactful training programs, materials and presentations. Produce physical and digital educational material (e.g.
videos and case studies) Collaborate closely with teams across the organization to ensure consistency and alignment across all training programs. Identify needs for sales skills improvement.
Master and teach our sales process. Evaluate sales skills and abilities of sales associates through ride-alongs and customer visits.
Coach and reinforce the sales process. Serve as a resource to the entire sales team. Onboard new sales associates with appropriate product, process and system training. Organize and coordinate in-person and virtual training events.
Consult with employees' supervisors to report on developmental needs and training opportunities.
Develop individual coaching plans. Collect feedback from trainees and managers about training courses. Maintain updated records of training material, curricula and costs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years in a sales role Minimum 5 years in the coatings industry Advanced customer service and time management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to design effective training programs Outstanding coaching skills Great organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to measure performance

Rust-Oleum Corporation is based in Vernon Hills, IL, and is owned by RPM International.
The Roofing Specialist is a critical team member of our Professional Roofing Sales team.
This sales position is remote based and will be responsible for markets in and around NC,SC, GA, TN or where otherwise requested. Here's what you can expect every day: Influence key decision makers in the commercial construction process including: architects, Landscape Architects, Owners, State, County and City Departments, Engineers, Builders, General Contractors, Developers and Sub Contractors Maintains an understanding of current business initiatives and identifies opportunities for improvement. Ability to develop strong customer relationships and inspire customer confidence. Manage, track and distribute significant projects to increase sales opportunities for our customer base throughout a multi-month or multi-year sales cycle. Build relationships with the current distribution customers and contractor list and identify target contractors and distributors for conversion. Ability to follow corporate and division policies and applicable governmental safety regulations are required. Experience working with internal and external customers to understand and document complex business needs and troubleshoot issues. Ability to define and document a project, set timelines, align resources, and execute to meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to investigate and troubleshoot fluid applied roofing, waterproofing installation and product quality issues to determine root cause and appropriate resolution. Experience effectively and proactively managing customer expectations throughout the investigation/troubleshooting process. Ability to prioritize work. Ensures safe execution and delivery of all roofing services and operations. Provides a variety of technical training sessions in the contractor's office and field applications. Provide hands on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation. Performs roof inspections and generates written reports on condition analysis, photo documentation, recommendation and material budget estimates. Communicates professionally with our customers, distributors, Rust-Oleum sales representatives, national account executives and corporate staff. Completes weekly/monthly reports, sales activities and proposals. Conducts Pre-project field inspections and technical support, including but not limited to: Adhesion tests Product recommendations Proper product installation Product diagnostic support to ensure proper selection and product usage.
Provides an on-going sales support, training and development to contractors. Function as a direct line of contact to the contractors & distributors, in the designated area, to ensure a consistent working relationship with the existing contractor base, keeping them informed and trained on Rust-Oleum's product line, new products introduced and where to buy.
