Tremco Construction Products Group brings together Tremco CPG Inc.'s Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing and Roofing & Building Maintenance divisions; Tremco Barrier Solutions Inc.; Dryvit, Nudura and Willseal brands; Prebuck LLC; Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc.; Weatherproofing Technologies Canada and PureAir Control Services, Inc.
Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America.
This position is in the Tremco Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing Division
CSW Business Unit for New Commercial Construction
Tremco Sealants manufactures sealants, air barriers, waterproofing membranes, traffic coatings, glazing accessories and more for new construction and restoration.
Our products can be seen on structures from parking garages and mixed-use buildings to single-family homes and high-rises, and are also used in the modular, residential window and door, industrial and manufacturing markets.
The Technical Sales Representative ensures that the assigned revenue, margin and product mix objectives, within the corporate business framework, are met or exceeded.
This is to be accomplished by securing, developing, and managing key architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, subcontractors, and end-user accounts.
This position will also own and manage all related performance and service metrics for the assigned accounts in the New York territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieves or exceeds assigned sales goals and expectations.
Works primarily with existing accounts, while seeking and developing new account opportunities to influence and increase use of Tremco CPG products in assigned territory.
Manages assigned accounts to establish business development opportunities through account penetration, analysis, partnership with key decision makers, and strategic initiatives.
Drives product specifications and project opportunities throughout assigned territory.
Leverages industry knowledge, marketplace dynamics and key relationships both internally and externally to develop trusted partnerships and advisory relationships with customers with a focus on problem identification, exploration and resolution.
Annually prepares and delivers strategic business/territory plans for each customer with monthly forecasts.
Consistently and efficiently follows the standard sales process to identify prospects and decision makers, gain customer commitment, predict sales probability, and effectively close deals.
Manages day-to-day contact, exchanges information succinctly, truthfully and ethically while addressing issues directly and tactfully in pursuit of mutual interest and benefit.
Develops and delivers technical, high quality and directed digital collateral, product prospectus, presentations, and business correspondence in support of the overall sales process.
Collaborates with senior staff to coordinate and execute product knowledge training sessions with internal and external customers, as appropriate, utilizing supplier representatives.
Leverages all available technology on a daily basis for productivity and effective lead generation, account maintenance, sales and expense tracking, forecasting, account reviews, customer contact, presentations, etc.
Works collaboratively with internal support resources to develop teamwork through cooperation, trust and mutual respect.
Attends and presents business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows.
Maintains extensive product knowledge in all product lines and service offerings.
Adheres to and enforces all company policies, pricing, and operational procedures with special attention to the professional image of the company.
Performs other related duties as required, requested or assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management and 2-3 years of construction or industry experience OR Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction or industry experience
EXPERIENCE
Four to ten years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry. A minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred Construction knowledge (i.e., waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, etc.) Assembly line related product segments Basic knowledge of product chemistries Insulated Concrete Forms knowledge/experience a plus
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Collaborate with the plant as well as corporate functions/departments to determine where the most significant areas of improvement exist and develop projects from those opportunities. Develop, prioritize, and execute continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and plant objectives. Assess, monitor, maintain, and enhance business performance by analyzing current practices, developing business process improvements, implementing changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous company performance. Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools, provide support for plant level initiatives, and participate in Kaizen events on the production floor in support of Tremco's MS168 philosophies. Provide support to the production staff to ensure that implemented lean principles are understood and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of process improvements. Conduct semi-Annual Audits Read, research, interpret, and analyze data on current processes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Leverage knowledge of tiered governance systems, Kaizen, 5S, visual management and SMED to assist sites in improving efficiencies by evaluating process and practice from various perspectives.
Influence and motivate others to attend to, participate in and own local continuous improvement efforts and initiatives. Lead cross-functional improvement projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet predefined objectives.
Develop, monitor, and communicate project plans, timelines, and budgets with key stakeholders.
provide supportive project management expertise and monthly savings tracking, key performance indicators, and reporting.
Teach, lead and coach cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Use data analytics such as statistical process control, process capability analysis, and correlation to make data driven decisions while demonstrating quantitative improvement/impact. Prepare, review, and analyze operational data, reports, and metrics to generate insights, identify trends, isolate bottlenecks, and make informed decisions.
Build a culture of continuous improvement by promoting awareness and buy-in at all levels of the organization. Develop and maintain comprehensive performance dashboards and reports.
Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies related to continuous improvement and benchmark against industry peers and incorporate best practices into the organization.
Education: & Experience:
Bachelor's degree, Process Management, or Operations, with concentration in Engineering preferred.
Four to seven years related experience and/or training Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred in Chemical Manufacturing and/or batch manufacturing operations. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from diverse groups.
Solve Practical problems where only limited standardization exists.
Interprets instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Training of customers by performing live product demonstrations, remote learning, and education presentations. Regularly call dealers and prospects in assigned area. Provide support to dealers on product knowledge, end user work, event marketing, and merchandising. Communicate opportunities, issues, trends to management and marketing. Establish relationships with dealers, regional & national wholesalers, and key end users. Effectively manage T&E and promotional budgets. Daily Local Travel within region, minimal overnight travel. Other administrative duties required by DAP.
Requirements
3-5 years sales experience in roofing and complimentary products Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required. Construction experience as an installer, especially the installation of foam Roof Tile Adhesive products is not required but is a major plus. Exceptional verbal, presentation, and training skills both.
Ability to work independently with new and existing clients to overcome typical sales objections (i.e.
- price, application knowledge, etc.) Cold-calling success within a territory to both large nationwide clients as well as small businesses in the roofing industry. Working knowledge and understanding of the permitting process with NOA's and approvals. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e.
Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Ability to work in adverse conditions, around chemicals, navigate construction sites, and climb ladders.

Job Purpose

Responsible for reviewing and updating backlog, leftover, invoicing, product forecasting, and other management reports as required. Forecast review and updates to ensure invoicing is captured in appropriate period Matches invoices with orders, mails invoices to the customer, and follows up on special billing forms, as required. Requests for insurance certificates for customers and general contractors. Logs Contracts to be executed upon receipt and order entry; responsible for ensuring execution prior to project start. Assesses customized customer correspondence (incoming and outgoing) for required approvals, coordinates approvals and distribution with appropriate team members.
Processes invoices from outside vendors, ensure invoices are allocated to the correct project or account and that actual costs do not exceed budget. Partners with Accounting and Purchasing to set up new vendors.

General Purpose of the Job:
WTI has established a Safety Solutions Team as a revenue-generating team within WTI designed to expand and create new rooftop opportunities for safety inspections, installations, and overall property owner reassurance for OSHA/ANSI compliance, supporting both Tremco Roofing and WTI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
List the job's essential or most important functions and responsibilities of the Safety Service Representative (SSR).
Include all important aspects of the job - whether performed daily, weekly, monthly, or annually; and any that occur at irregular intervals. Integrate safety into the roofing traditional sale process, WTI GC and GS sale processes. Evaluate and develop qualified leads and inspection assessments/reports for OSHA compliance to support the roofing sales representatives with the most current, up-to-date product selection, pricing, and installation processes. Provide product quotes for property owners, sales representatives, Tremco contractors, WTI construction/project managers, WTI field management, or any others as directed. Responsible for contributing to, validating, and signing off on all proposals and specifications.

Accountable for project cost/budget variance & profitability. Continually measure the impact of activities and adapt and refine the program of delivery with the Safety Solutions Director as necessary. Establish metrics and benchmark data, develop reports for specific programs and initiatives, and report outcomes to employees, stakeholders, and outside partners. Create and maintain a database of outreach contacts to foster and develop collaborative partnerships. Visit property owner/management customer locations and assess their rooftop safety needs, schedule inspections/assessments, provide fall protection presentations, or any other on-site activities as directed. Coordinate assessments, engineering assessments, training, and/or fall hazard risk inspections with outside partners. Prepare estimates using the electronic tools provided (i.e., spreadsheets, apps, etc.). Develop relationships with regional teams including but not limited to, sales reps, CSS, program managers, regional business managers, field supervisors, and field technicians. Develop processes and protocols for engaging sales representatives, customers, and contractors in alignment with regional and company objectives. Proactively identify potential barriers to participant success and work within WTI and outside agencies to deliver solutions. Provide excellent customer service to employees and outside partners. Meet deadlines for all reports, data, publications, and quotes requests. Travel as needed to visit customer locations and projects for project review, QC, customer presentations, quotes, and any other visit needed to promote or support the team. Work with WTI management to continually devise and implement process improvements and align programming to meet current and future company needs. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
