Euclid Chemical is currently seeking a Concrete and Construction
Technical Support Specialist to join our team at our Cleveland Campus.
This role provides technical support for Euclid Chemical construction products to distributor, contractor, and residential customers, as well as internal sales and marketing staff and design professionals.
This role supports customers by phone and electronic communication, participates in customer sales training, and assists with the development of new products and technical sales tools.

Deliver customer support through industrial trials, mill audits, special projects, data analysis, and detailed reporting to retain existing customers and attract new ones Compile and analyze industrial trial process data, and prepare detailed reports providing conclusions and action items from industrial trial runs. Keep thorough and updated records of activity history with active and potential cement additive customers. Design and execution of plant industrial trials and mill audits. Maintenance and operation of portable pump equipment inventory to utilize during industrial trials. Collaborate with the Cement Additives Technical Manager and Cement Lab Manager to develop new products and enhance existing lines based on market trends, competitive analysis, and industrial trial results. Work collaboratively with Euclid Chemical Cement Additives Lab team in the development and improvement of laboratory ball mill methodologies for testing materials.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical) or chemistry - master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement manufacturing process control or quality management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cement manufacturing, cement chemistry, and raw and finish mill circuit operation. Basic understanding of cement additives chemistries. Ability to interpret lab outputs (e.g., XRD, clinker microscopy, isothermal calorimetry, and physical test results) to develop customer-specific strategies and product recommendations. Proficiency with cement standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.). Strong knowledge of milling equipment, particle classifiers, circuit configurations, and pyro processes for optimizing clinker performance. Advanced knowledge of MS Office computer software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Edge Internet Browser. Knowledge of industry trends, including low clinker content cement production and co-grinding with alternative materials. Data analysis and report writing skills. Communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership and team management capabilities. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to design and execute plant industrial trials and mill audits.
Travel:

Ability to interpret lab outputs (e.g., XRD, clinker microscopy, isothermal calorimetry, and physical test results) to develop customer-specific strategies and product recommendations. Proficiency with cement standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.). Strong knowledge of milling equipment, particle classifiers, circuit configurations, and pyro processes for optimizing clinker performance. Advanced knowledge of MS Office computer software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Edge Internet Browser. Knowledge of industry trends, including low clinker content cement production and co-grinding with alternative materials. The successful CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC sliding head machines to manufacture high-quality, close-tolerance components safely and efficiently.

Expect light physical activity and extended computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
Occasional visits to the production floor will require proper footwear and PPE.

Students must have housing arrangements in or near Lake Charles, LA for the summer, as housing allowance is not provided.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the Engineering Team to explore and optimize manufacturing methods and processes.
Gain exposure to LEAN manufacturing, ergonomics, time studies, 5S, Kaizen, and other productivity improvement methodologies.
Analyze engineering design documents, prototypes, and change orders for manufacturability.
Partner with EH&S personnel to support environmental and safety initiatives.
Assist in evaluating equipment, tooling, materials, and automation vs.
manual production decisions.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement or revise manufacturing processes.
Conduct time studies, document workflows, and contribute to Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
Utilize CAD/CAM tools for design-related tasks.
Take ownership of additional responsibilities as assigned by the department manager.
