Your role and responsibilities:
Acquire hydrographic data using a full suite of instruments, including multibeam echosounders, GNSS, sound velocity profilers, USBL positioning, backscatter, sidescan sonar, seismic, sub-bottom profilers, and magnetometers.
Lead or support vessel mobilisations and demobilisations, ensuring all survey equipment is prepared and operational.
Carry out offshore survey operations, assist with back-deck tasks, and perform data coverage checks.
Where necessary, develop infill line plans to maintain data quality and completeness.
Work closely with the full project team daily, including Project Managers, the data processing team, fellow surveyors, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.
Report progress and technical updates directly to the Chief Surveyor, maintaining strong communication across all stages of the survey.
Working primarily offshore with rotations usually on a four week on, four week off basis.
What you'll need to thrive in this role:
