The Role: Senior Electrical Design Engineer This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to take a lead role in the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects.

THE ROLE
My client seeks a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager who is from recently MRICS qualified to join them in their office in SE London / Kent borders area.
Projects are generally of high value and there is a particular need currently for people to work on cladding remediation projects for large residential buildings along with other residential, education, healthcare and some commercial projects.
You will either be a Quantity Surveyor with an interest in project management or you may be a Project Manager who has a good handle on the cost management side of projects.
THE COMPANY
My client is a long established busy firm of multi disciplinary consultants with several offices.
THE CANDIDATE
You will either be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor with an interest in Project Management or a Project Manager with some experience of cost management.
You must have experience of working with another firm of consultants / PQS.
You need to have experience of cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering along with financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
You must be able to do both pre and post contract work.
You should have used JCT contracts.
You need to be able to do contract administration, organise meetings, take minutes etc.
You will ideally be keen to do a mix of quantity surveying and project management.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
My client will offer good prospects for rapid promotion for the right person.

An incredible new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to open, establish and lead a small sized children's home located in the Derby area
This will be an Ofsted-regulated children's home providing focused care for a child with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)

*To be considered for this position you must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare + Minimum 3 years' experience in a residential childcare setting with 2+ years at supervisory/Deputy/management level

As the Manager your key responsibilities include:
Oversee the Ofsted registration and successful launch of the solo home
Recruit, develop, and lead a small, dedicated team with a therapeutic and child-centred approach
Establish a nurturing and structured environment tailored to the individual needs of one child
Maintain high standard of safeguarding and compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted expectations
Build strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals, and families
Embed a culture of reflection, stability and care that priorities the long-term outcomes of the child
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting (EBD/solo care preferred)
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and Ofsted inspection frameworks
A resilient, compassionate leader who can establish a positive culture from the outset
A commitment to therapeutic, trauma-informed care and improving outcomes for children
Must be able to speak and understand English to a good standard for effective communication, record-keeping and safeguarding the wellbeing of those you will be supporting
The successful Manager will receive an excellent salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours from 9am-5pm.
In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
30 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
Option to complete Level 7
Performance-related bonus of up to £6,000 annually (based on Ofsted rating, compliance and occupancy)
Additional on-call payments
Ongoing CPD and development opportunities, including therapeutic and leadership training
