HSE Manager required for a world-leading precision manufacturing company, providing end-to-end solutions for a diverse range of customers.
With over 60 years experience, this employer has developed a first-class reputation through it's quality deliverables.This role is based in HIGHBURTON, therefore the successful HSE Manager will be able to commute from surrounding areas including Huddersfield, Mirfield, Dewsbury, Ossett and Horbury for example.Key Responsibilities of the HSE Manager will include;
Lead EHS Committee/team meetings and provide guidance across the business to support the effective execution of EHS responsibilities.
Develop, review and maintain EHS policies, procedures, manuals, legal registers, KPIs and metrics to ensure compliance with legislation, ISO45001, ISO14001 and industry best practice.
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments, supporting managers with risk mitigation and Change Management, including RAMS, COSHH, PTW, DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, DSE, HAVS, LEV, Noise, Legionella, Racking and Manual Handling requirements.
Manage accident and incident reporting, investigations and statutory reporting obligations, including compliance with RIDDOR and submissions to relevant authorities.
Coordinate site Emergency Response Plans (ERP), ensuring plans are established, management personnel are trained, and exercises are conducted annually.
Oversee Fire Life Safety arrangements in partnership with Facilities Management, including evacuation drills, EHS inductions, onboarding processes and the annual EHS safety climate programme.
Manage EHS-related training and first aid provisions to ensure employees are appropriately trained, supported and protected.
For the role of HSE Manager, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who have;
Experience as a HSE Manager or similar within an engineering or manufacturing background
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
An approachable attitude towards Health and Safety and Environmental topics and the desire to empower and educate others
NEBOSH (General Certificate) at minimum
Salary & Benefits;
Up to £55,000 p/a depending on experience
30 days annual leave (including public holidays)
