GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of target manufacturing activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly deadlines and provide leadership for the shift supervisors and associates within the value stream.
The Production Manager will drive the lean process to maximize profitable growth, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified workforce, reduce operating costs and inventories through incremental and quantum continuous improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and guides Lean initiatives within the designated work cell.
Works closely with plant-level management on Lean process projects using lean tools and metrics.
Helps develop a Lean Strategy to be implemented plant-wide.
Participates in FIT and continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques.
Drives Lean Management - including Tier Meetings, Supervisor Standard Work, Accountability Boards, and overall process discipline.
Responsible for hiring and developing associates, budget planning, employment decisions and performance assessment of shop floor associates.
Operates as part of a Leadership Team responsible for running the factory to specific KPI's and improvement activities.
Promotes and ensures a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.
Directly manages the departmental cell and works cooperatively with other functional managers/supervisors/leaders to optimize the entire value stream.
The Product Manager is relentless about implementing MS168 and continuous improvement.
Responsible for understanding the current culture by reviewing existing policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
HS Diploma with 8+ years' experience OR
Engineering Degree with 2 years' experience OR
Non-Engineering Degree with 4 years' experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
1 year of previous supervisor or management experience required.

Your role will include:
- Being the owner of the lubrication schedule and being required to work to it as closely as is practical to do so, providing feedback for updates and support and recommending any modifications to it as necessary
- To identify and minimise any oil losses, keeping accurate records of what oils are topped up and where
- As well as the lubrications, it is important to ensure clean lubrication systems, including pump sets, pipework, and tanks, to control contamination and aid quick identification of leaks or problems
- Undertake risk assessments (RA) and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) assessments for engineering work undertaken, and where there is a perceived risk to engineering personnel
- The role requires the competence to lead a team of contractors on planned shutdown days to assist with the completion of the schedules
- To ensure that all automated systems for oil and grease remain topped up with the appropriate lubricant
- To use SAP and other provided reporting tools to report defects, lubrication schedule progress, stock inventory checks and oil consumption records
- Ensure appropriate labelling and documentation control of lubricants used on site.

includes labelling of tanks, drums, transport containers and relevant COSHH data
The Ideal Candidate:

Support the HS&E, Quality and Service, and Productivity/Cost sections of the facility plan as defined by scorecard activities.
Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
Manage the Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure it reduces downtime and improves the overall reliability of production and production-supporting machinery.
Support capital project requirements for review and submission to management, including costs, schedule, and procedures.
Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
Analyze annual utility expenditures and develop a plan to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity in hiring and promotion decisions.
Effectively and efficiently onboard new employees.
Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing performance feedback, maintaining clear and timely documentation.
Coach and manage employees using CS&W philosophy and tools to ensure talent is developed and retained.
Apply Tremco policies and adhere to processes to ensure compliance and organizational best practices.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with plant safety practices, chemical processes, equipment maintenance, statistical applications, and equipment operations is also required.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of the practical application of sound engineering and chemical plant practices.
This includes applying engineering principles and techniques to process design for the production of products and intermediates.
Knowledge of arithmetic, statistical methods, "Lean" concepts, ISO procedures, and their applications.
Ability to apply Excel, Word, and SAP applications to daily job responsibilities with an emphasis on system-driven solutions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
