Teach Plus are currently working with an ‘Outstanding' primary school based in Ealing who are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a nursery class with a range of children with SEND.
You will be required to support the class teacher in planning and setting up activities and running interventions such as Bucket Time and Box Clever, individuals experienced with Makaton would be desirable for this role.
The role is to start after May half-term, it is a full-time, ongoing position and will carry on in September.
You would be required to work 8.30am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be expected to:
To support the lead teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Establish positive relationships with the pupils, parents, class teachers and other members of staff across the school
Monitor and document the progress of each child and communicate observations to the lead teacher
Deliver interventions on a one to one basis and within small groups
Have experience with Bucket Time and Box Clever
The ideal candidate for an SEN Teaching Assistant role will have:
Experience working with children with SEND
Experience working with children with Autism and Speech and Language Difficulties
Experience with Makaton is desirable
A flexible, proactive attitude who are passionate about improving the environment and learning for all pupils
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
