An opportunity has arisen for a Generator Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering and construction firm, specialising in demolition, civil engineering, plant hire and power generation services.
As a Generator Service Engineer, you will be providing on-site engineering support, maintaining equipment, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs, servicing and commissioning work.
This role offers salary of £17.25 per hour for 39-hour work week plus overtime opportunities and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
* Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on equipment.
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
* Selecting appropriate specialist equipment, connectors and testing tools for maintenance and repairs.
* Setting up equipment in line with customer specifications.
* Carrying out modifications to equipment when required and instructed.
* Repairing and maintaining machinery in accordance with company and manufacturer requirements.
* Responding to equipment breakdowns and providing effective technical support to customers.
* Participating in the on-call rota and working overtime when required, sometimes at short notice.
* Attending relevant training and contributing positively to ongoing technical development.
