Working Model: Hybrid
Employment Type: Permanent
Travel: Occasional travel to customers, internal sites and industry events
About the Role
We are looking for a Customer Integration Engineer to join a growing Customer Engineering team supporting the adoption of specialist gaming platforms, embedded systems and software solutions across EMEA and other strategic markets.
This is not a traditional technical support role.
You will work directly with customers throughout the full integration journey, from initial evaluation and onboarding through to integration and production readiness.
You will troubleshoot complex technical challenges, deliver technical demonstrations and workshops, and help customers successfully integrate platforms and bring their products to market.
You will also play an important role in improving the customer experience by developing integration tools, scripts, OS images, example applications and technical documentation.
Working closely with Software, Firmware, FPGA, Product and Engineering teams, you will provide valuable customer feedback and help improve products, processes and integration capabilities.
Key Responsibilities for the Customer Integration Engineer
Work directly with customers throughout evaluation, onboarding, integration and production readiness.
Investigate and resolve complex issues across hardware, operating systems and software.
Troubleshoot Windows and Linux environments, including logs, drivers, services and configuration.
Support OS image creation, system configuration, peripherals and external device integration.
Deliver technical workshops, onboarding sessions, product demonstrations and technical guidance.
Develop and maintain integration tools, scripts, utilities and example code.
Support integration testing, benchmarking and system validation.
Create and maintain technical documentation and integration guides.
Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to escalate issues and provide actionable customer feedback.
Support pre-sales and technical marketing activities where required.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling and the overall customer integration experience.
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for a hands-on engineer with experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Customer Integration Engineer, Integration Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Field Application Engineer (FAE), Technical Support Engineer or similar.
You will have strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and/or Linux, with experience working with logs, drivers, services and system configuration.
Experience with embedded systems, industrial PCs or hardware/software integration is highly desirable.
You should also have working knowledge of software development, with experience in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Rust or Python, together with the ability to read, modify and create scripts or example code.
Familiarity with interfaces including USB, serial, TCP/IP, PCIe and GPIO would be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will need to be able to manage multiple customer priorities, explain complex technical issues clearly and take ownership of problems through to resolution.

Desirable Experience
Experience within the gaming, regulated industries or embedded technology sectors would be advantageous.

Additional experience with Linux or Windows IoT OS image creation, gaming and graphics engines such as Unity, Unreal, Godot or OpenGL, system security, secure boot or cryptography would be beneficial.
Experience creating technical documentation, demonstrations or training materials is also desirable.
About You
You are a proactive, hands-on engineer who enjoys working closely with customers and solving real-world technical problems.
You are equally comfortable troubleshooting complex issues, explaining solutions, developing tools and examples, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Rather than simply reacting to technical problems, you look for ways to improve processes, reduce integration challenges and help customers succeed faster.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced technology environment where your technical expertise and customer feedback can directly influence products and services.
Why Join?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Customer Engineering and Technology function and play a visible role in helping customers successfully adopt innovative gaming and computing platforms.
You will work closely with customers, Product, Software, Firmware and Engineering teams, gaining exposure to a broad range of technologies while helping shape the tools, processes and solutions that support future growth.
The role offers hybrid working from Crawley, with occasional travel to customers, internal sites and industry events.
