The Role of the Maintenance Coordinator:
You will take ownership of the site's facilities, services, and utilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable day-to-day operations.
Your responsibilities will include carrying out and coordinating statutory inspections, emergency lighting tests, fire alarm testing, compliance checks, CCTV maintenance, ladder inspections, and other essential site safety activities.
Working closely with the Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring the site remains fully compliant and audit ready.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Coordinator:
Own and coordinate all site facilities, services, and utilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable day-to-day operations in line with the company's standards and all legal and statutory requirements.
Oversee integrity of buildings and utility infrastructure, including electrical systems, HVAC, water, and compressed air, coordinating inspections, maintaining facilities and utilities, and upgrades through competent external contractors.
Manage external service providers and contracts, including cleaning, mobile equipment, and statutory inspections, ensuring service quality, SLA compliance, cost control, and effective issue resolution.
Maintain robust compliance and governance processes, ensuring inspections, certificates, service reports, RAMS, insurance documentation, and close-out records are accurate, traceable, managed within the CMMS, and approved before work begins.
Support site engineering and infrastructure projects by collaborating with engineering teams on utilities planning, improvement projects, and breakdown response while minimising operational disruption.
Essential Criteria of the Maintenance Coordinator:
Minimum HNC (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience managing site services, utilities, and contractors within a process safety-led manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of statutory compliance.
Demonstrable experience in EHS and contractor management, including Permit to Work (PTW) systems, RAMS review, and contractor insurance and policy compliance, maintaining audit-ready standards.
Excellent organisational, planning, and scheduling skills, with the ability to ensure statutory inspections and routine site services are completed on time.
Strong communication skills, with experience managing service level agreements, coordinating internal stakeholders and external contractors, and monitoring performance.
Competent in Microsoft Office, SAP, and CMMS systems, with a sound mechanical and electrical understanding.
Experience working within an ATEX environment or a good understanding of ATEX regulations.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Quality Co-Op will have the opportunity to learn, experience, and contribute to the operations of the polyurethane sealants and coating manufacturing process.
The Co-op will develop an understanding of the relationship between the manufacturing process and various support teams with a focus on safety, product quality testing, and process validation and improvement.
This position will spend a significant amount of time in the lab and on the plant floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist quality team in performing routine tests accurately and timely to determine if the products meet product specifications and approve product for shipping and filling.
Manage retain room filing and disposal.
Sustain lab 5S (QC lab and retain room).
Participate in product quality projects with root cause investigations and effective corrective actions with the goal of preventing customer complaints and reducing internal rework.
Lead small project for quality improvement through test, data collection, and analysis.
Other tasks and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma required.
Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing, pursing a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical focus preferred)

£38,000 - £45,000 + Overtime

KHR are working with a well-established and innovative engineering business that is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join its growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working directly with customers, commissioning machinery, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering high-quality service support across a variety of industrial environments.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and support of specialist automated machinery at customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional travel within Europe.
This is a predominantly field-based position offering a varied workload, customer interaction, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission machinery at customer sites
- Carry out service, maintenance, and breakdown support visits
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system faults
- Deliver operator training to customer personnel
- Liaise with customers regarding installation schedules, servicing requirements, and technical support
- Complete detailed site reports and service documentation
- Participate in internal project and design review meetings
- Ensure all site visits are fully prepared, including equipment, parts, and documentation
Candidate Requirements
- Engineering qualification (Degree, HND, NVQ, BTEC or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience within an automation, machinery, or manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic fault-finding skills
- Experience configuring robots and programming movement patterns
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Experience with PLCs and HMIs
- Knowledge of servo systems, VFDs, remote I/O, Ethernet, and Profibus networks (desirable)
- Understanding of machinery control systems and automation software
What's on Offer?
- Salary of £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
